Application dates and fee reported for the 2025 cycle
The online registration and fee-payment window opened at 3:00 p.m. on 26 August 2025 and closed at 11:59 p.m. on 26 September 2025. No applications can be submitted under that expired window.
Hindustan Times reported that General and OBC (NCL) candidates were charged ₹500 plus applicable taxes, while SC, ST, PwBD, EWS and Ex-Servicemen candidates were exempt. The report described the fee as non-refundable. This is historical reporting about the 2025 notice, not a current application fee.
Eligibility depended on the exact post code
There was no single degree, experience or age rule for all 102 posts. The official notification set qualifications, minimum marks, category-specific upper-age limits and, for some roles, post-qualification experience by post code. The stated reference date for assessing eligibility was 26 September 2025.
- Senior Officer (Chemical): required a two-year postgraduate qualification in Chemistry with at least 60%, along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at graduation level.
- Senior Officer (Chemical Engineering): required a four-year bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 65%.
- Superintending Engineer (Production): required an engineering or specified postgraduate qualification and at least four years of post-qualification experience.
Those are examples, not a complete eligibility checklist. For any future Oil India vacancy, match the post code to its education, marks, age, category and experience requirements in that advertisement rather than assuming a similar title has identical criteria.
Roles included in the notice
Grade B accounted for 97 posts. Senior Officer disciplines included Chemical, Chemical Engineering, Civil, Electrical, Petroleum, IT, Mechanical, Fire and Safety, Public Affairs, HSE, Geophysics, Geology, Legal/Land, HR, Security, Company Secretary, and Electronics and Communication. Senior Accounts Officer/Senior Internal Auditor was also listed.
Grade C had three Superintending Engineer (Production) posts. Grade A had one Confidential Secretary post and one Hindi Officer (Official Language) post. Vacancy counts and eligibility were specified by role in the notification; the total alone does not indicate how many positions were available in any particular category.
Selection and preparation information
The selection process and requirements were set out in the recruitment notification. Oil India’s careers listings also provide indicative computer-based test syllabus materials, physical-fitness criteria and pre-employment medical guidance. The relevant syllabus and process can differ by post, so preparation should be based on the exact role and official notice, not a generic Oil India syllabus.
For the expired application, contemporaneous instructions described an online process through the company website’s Careers/Current Openings area: register, complete the form, pay any applicable fee and submit it. Those steps do not reopen the 2025 recruitment.
