Deadline and application status
The application window for this recruitment closed at 14:00 on 29 January 2024. OIL used that date as the cut-off for assessing age, qualifications and experience. The old application instructions do not provide a current route to apply.
Applications were to be submitted online through OIL’s website. The notice instructed candidates to register with an active email address and mobile number, provide correct information and upload applicable documents. It also warned that a submitted application could not be edited and advised applicants not to wait until the closing date. These were instructions for the 2024 window only.
Eligibility, age limits and pay varied by post
There was no single degree, experience threshold or age limit for all 102 vacancies. The official notice sets requirements by post code, including educational qualifications, minimum marks where applicable, relevant work experience, upper age limits and grade/pay scales. Candidates assessing a particular post must use its row in the advertisement and its category-specific terms; the notice reckons age, experience and qualifications as of 29 January 2024.
Example: Confidential Secretary
The sole Grade A vacancy was Confidential Secretary (CS 15). Its stated education requirements included graduation and a qualifying diploma in secretarial practice, modern office management/secretarial practice, executive assistant studies or an equivalent field, along with computer application knowledge. The notice also specified experience and category-based upper ages, so this example is not a complete eligibility summary; the full post-code entry controls.

Selection process and application fee
OIL specified two selection stages: a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Personal Interview (PI). Only shortlisted candidates would be notified for the selection test. The advertisement said the exam schedule would be communicated through OIL’s official website and email.
The application fee was ₹500 plus applicable taxes for General and OBC (NCL) candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, EWS and Ex-Servicemen candidates were exempt from the fee.
Where to check for later updates
The advertisement warned against individuals, agencies or organizations claiming they could secure a job or issuing fake appointment letters. It stated: “OIL does not authorise any individual /agency /organisation outside of OIL to offer any job on its behalf.”
The available notice and contemporaneous coverage establish the original recruitment terms, but do not establish the eventual result, appointments or later selection-stage outcomes for this advertisement. For any later result or current recruitment information, consult OIL’s official notices rather than relying on old application links. OIL’s current advertisement list is a place to check current notices; it does not, by itself, verify an outcome for this 2024 recruitment.
