When was the NVS 2024 correction window open?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) set the final correction period as 16–18 May 2024, ending at 5:00 p.m. on the last day. NTA described it as a one-time facility and said no further changes would be permitted after the deadline. The correction window is now closed.
The schedule changed during the application period. NTA’s initial notice of 22 March listed a 2–4 May correction period. Its 7 May notice extended the application and fee-payment deadline to 14 May at 5:00 p.m. and moved corrections to 16–18 May. The later schedule superseded the original dates. Who was eligible to make a correction?
The facility applied to candidates who had submitted an online application and paid the required fee by 14 May 2024. Corrections had to be made through the NTA NVS portal. NTA said it would not accept changes by written application, letter or email. The notice retained 30 April 2024 as the eligibility cutoff date.

Which details could applicants change?
NTA excluded the following details from correction:
- Candidate’s name
- Father’s name
- Date of birth
- Mobile number
- Email ID
Candidates could add posts if they confirmed that they met the eligibility requirements and paid any applicable fee. They could not delete posts already selected in their application.
How did corrections affect the application fee?
If a change to a post or category/sub-category moved an applicant to a higher fee, the applicant had to pay the difference online during the correction period. A change that reduced the fee did not result in a refund or adjustment, according to NTA’s correction notice.
What recruitment did the notice cover?
The recruitment was for non-teaching positions at Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) headquarters, regional offices, Navodaya Leadership Institutes (NLIs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. Careers360 reported that the drive covered 1,377 vacancies; that count is a media-reported figure, not a number established by the NTA schedule notices.
