The NCET 2025 application window has closed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) extended the deadline to 31 March 2025: applications had to be submitted by 9:00 p.m. and the fee paid successfully by 11:50 p.m. that day. The exam was scheduled for 29 April 2025 for the 2025–26 academic session. The old 2025 application route is not a live application link.
What was the NCET 2025 last date to apply?
NTA’s public notice dated 16 March 2025 extended the application deadline from 16 March to 31 March after requests related to ongoing CBSE and other board examinations. It set separate cutoffs:

- Application submission: by 9:00 p.m. on 31 March 2025.
- Successful fee payment: by 11:50 p.m. on 31 March 2025.
The notice scheduled NCET 2025 for 29 April 2025. Its application window has passed, and the official notice does not establish that the form was reopened later. Read NTA’s 16 March 2025 deadline-extension notice.
Where is the official NCET application link now?
The official NTA NCET portal is https://exams.nta.nic.in/NCET/. As of 8 October 2026, it displayed NCET 2026 notices and candidate activity, not an open NCET 2025 application. Check the portal’s current notices and cycle label before applying; do not use a historical 2025 link as though it were active.

NTA’s 2025 notice also identified NCTE’s website as an access route. For the 2025 process, however, applicants were instructed to apply online through the NTA NCET portal.
What was the NCET 2025 application process and fee?
NTA’s 2025 information bulletin described a three-step online process: register, complete the application, and pay the fee. A confirmation page was generated only after successful payment; candidates were advised to save or print it. These were NTA’s fees for the 2025 cycle. Payment was online, and applicable processing charges and GST could be additional.

NTA conducts NCET on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The test relates to admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) at selected institutions. NCET qualification alone does not establish that a particular course or institution is available to a candidate.
Before applying in a current cycle, check the institution’s own prospectus and current admission notices. Course availability, subject options, eligibility, minimum marks, reservation rules, and admission steps can vary by institution. The NTA portal showed 2026 activity on 8 October 2026; confirm the latest official cycle information there rather than relying on 2025 dates or fees.
