The latest split documented in NVIDIA’s investor materials was its 10-for-1 split in June 2024. A future announcement remains possible, but no date should be treated as confirmed unless NVIDIA announces one.
Is there an NVIDIA stock split date in 2026?
No 2026 split announcement or date appears in NVIDIA’s investor FAQ, the company’s 2026 proxy and quarterly filing, or its June 2026 meeting announcement. That is a statement about the materials reviewed through October 5, 2026—not a prediction about what NVIDIA may announce later.
NVIDIA’s 2026 proxy reports that 24,220,525,225 common shares were outstanding and entitled to vote as of April 27, 2026. This is a dated share-count figure, not evidence of a stock split.
When was NVIDIA’s most recent stock split?
NVIDIA’s most recent split documented in the reviewed investor materials was a 10-for-1 split in 2024. The split became effective after market close on June 7, 2024, and split-adjusted trading was expected to begin on June 10, 2024. Under the split, holders received nine additional shares for each share they owned.

NVIDIA said it believed the 10-for-1 ratio would put the stock at a trading price more affordable to employees and investors. That was the company’s stated rationale; it does not guarantee a particular market outcome.
How NVIDIA’s documented 2021 and 2024 splits compare
| Split | Ratio and distribution | Timing | Company-stated rationale |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Four-for-one; eligible holders were to receive three additional shares for each share held on the record date. | Announced subject to stockholder approval. The cited announcement does not state an effective date or when split-adjusted trading began. | Not stated in the cited announcement. |
| 2024 | Ten-for-one; holders received nine additional shares for each share held. | Effective after market close June 7, 2024; split-adjusted trading was expected to begin June 10, 2024. | NVIDIA said it believed the ratio would make the trading price more affordable to employees and investors. |
NVIDIA’s current investor FAQ refers readers to tax forms for earlier split years, but the reviewed official materials do not establish a complete all-time chronology. The table therefore covers only the two events documented here.
What a stock split changes—and what it does not
A stock split increases the number of shares and mechanically adjusts the per-share trading price. In a 10-for-1 split, for example, each share becomes ten shares, while the split itself does not give a holder a larger proportional ownership interest in the company.
NVIDIA’s FAQ says the 2024 split did not dilute common stock ownership: each stockholder retained the same proportionate interest before and after the split. A split changes share count and per-share price mechanics; it does not by itself create additional company value or promise a gain.

Where to verify a future NVIDIA split announcement
For a confirmed date, rely on a company announcement rather than a forecast or an unsourced online calendar. Check NVIDIA’s investor-relations materials and SEC filings for a formal announcement, including the split ratio, record or distribution date, effective date, and the first day of split-adjusted trading. Until NVIDIA announces those details, any proposed 2026 date is speculation.
