Its reported application deadline was February 13, 2025, so this recruitment window is closed as of October 8, 2026. The 475 vacancies and careers.ntpc.co.in application destination belong to that historical notice, not an open application round. Scroll.in’s February 10, 2025 report gives the cycle details.
What “NTPC recruitment 2025” refers to
Although the headline uses 2025, the recruitment was officially described as “Recruitment for the post of EET-2024 through GATE 2024 vide Advt. no. 19/23.” The year in the headline should not be mistaken for the official cycle name. The reported closing date was February 13, 2025; applicants can no longer use that notice to apply.
The report named careers.ntpc.co.in as the application destination at the time. Treat that as a historical destination for this closed cycle, not as evidence that its application form remains available.
How the 475 reported vacancies were divided
Scroll.in reported 475 positions across five discipline groups:

The notice’s detailed eligibility criteria are not established by the report alone; check the original advertisement before relying on any claim about which degree or GATE paper qualified for a particular discipline.
Where to check for a later NTPC recruitment
NTPC’s jobs listing has surfaced later EET-2025 through GATE-2025 notices. A later cycle is separate from Advertisement No. 19/23, so confirm the specific notice’s cycle, advertisement number, dates and application link before taking action. Start at NTPC’s jobs listing and follow the official notice for the opportunity you intend to pursue.

What NTPC says about its Executive Trainee route
NTPC’s general Executive Trainee induction and training page says Graduate Engineers and Postgraduates are hired through GATE followed by an interview. It also states: “Hiring is followed by 52 weeks induction training (fully paid) consisting of theoretical input, on job training, personality development & management modules”. This describes NTPC’s general scheme; it does not by itself establish every selection or eligibility rule in Advertisement No. 19/23.

The report directs candidates to the original notice for eligibility and other details. The notice’s detailed text is not available in the sources cited here, so age limits, degree and marks requirements, application fees, reservation provisions and the exact selection rules should not be inferred from the vacancy summary or NTPC’s general training page.
