At the time, candidates could check it on the official SSCMNS portal using their application number and password. The computer-based examination was scheduled for 14 January 2024; the city slip was not an admit card, and the notices do not confirm whether individual slips remain available now.
How candidates checked the MNS SSC exam city slip
NTA called the document an “Advance Intimation Slip.” It showed the allotted exam city—the city where the examination centre would be located—not the candidate’s admit card. In its 9 January 2024 notice, NTA said candidates could check or download the slip through the SSCMNS portal with their application number and password.

City slip versus admit card
The two documents served different purposes and used different login details in NTA’s notices:
| Document | What it provided | Credentials specified by NTA | Notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advance exam city-intimation slip | Allotted exam city; it was not the admit card. | Application number and password | NTA notice, 9 January 2024 |
| Admit card | Separate examination document; NTA issued separate instructions to obtain it. | Application number and date of birth | NTA notice, 11 January 2024 |
NTA emphasized the distinction in its 9 January notice: “The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for the above Examination.” The notice said the admit card would be issued separately.
