Nova Minerals says key equipment for its planned antimony plant at Port MacKenzie, Alaska, arrived on October 6, 2026, and early earthworks are underway. The facility’s construction has not yet begun: the company says it expects construction to start in the coming weeks, after it receives the remaining permits. Separately, Nova says its 2026 Estelle drilling season is complete, but assay results are still pending.
When will construction of the antimony plant start?
Nova’s October 8, 2026 announcement makes the start conditional on permits. The company says facility construction is expected to commence in the coming weeks after the remaining permits are received. The release does not identify those permits or say they have been granted. Early earthworks are underway, but that is not the same as construction of the processing and refinery facility beginning.
Nova says all key equipment had arrived at Port MacKenzie by October 6. The final shipment consisted of another 10 truckloads and followed more than 40 containers delivered by barge on September 6, according to the company. The final shipment included two ball mills, a jaw crusher, an apron feeder, hydraulic filter presses and ancillary equipment.
The company says it sourced processing and milling equipment from a recently decommissioned North American site to accelerate construction and reduce costs. Those are Nova’s stated aims, not independently confirmed outcomes. The announcement does not report that the plant has been commissioned or begun production.

What the facility is planned to produce
Nova describes the Port MacKenzie operation as a modular processing and refinery facility intended initially to process stibnite-bearing material into antimony metal and military-grade trisulfide. The company expects first antimony in 2027; that is a forecast, not a confirmed production date or a report of current output.
Nova says the project is supported by a $43.4 million U.S. Department of War award and describes the award as support for establishing a domestic antimony supply chain. The October 8 release does not provide detailed award terms, so the amount and role here are company-reported rather than independently verified.

What Nova reported from the 2026 Estelle field season
Nova says its 2026 field season at the Estelle Critical Minerals and Gold Project is complete. Three diamond core rigs operated around the clock from June through September, drilling approximately 8,000 metres in total, according to the company.

The figures and objectives in the table are Nova’s descriptions of the program. The company says samples were prepared and shipped to ALS for analysis, with results expected in due course or in the coming months. The announcement contains no 2026 assay results. It also cites a prior maximum rock-chip assay of 24.6 grams per tonne gold from reconnaissance between RPM and Revelation; that is a past surface-sample result, not a 2026 drilling result.

Other reported infrastructure work at Estelle
Nova also reports ongoing Korbel metallurgical test work and environmental and technical studies, construction of the Korbel-Stibium access road, and expansion of the Whiskey Bravo airstrip and apron. These are company-reported progress updates; the announcement does not establish that every project is complete.
The company says the airstrip expansion is intended to accommodate C-130 Hercules aircraft. Nova gives payload capacity as 7,000 pounds for a DC-3 and 42,000 pounds for a C-130; these are capacities stated by the company, with the larger figure describing the aircraft the upgrade aims to accommodate.

Nova further reports initial environmental baseline studies for a proposed RPM road alignment, and steel fabrication and site preparation for an onsite crushing and ore-sorting facility at Whiskey Bravo. The release does not give completion dates for these works.
