By reported U.S. sales, Nissan’s most popular SUV or crossover through September 2026 was the Rogue, with 201,991 vehicles sold. The ranking below covers Nissan’s six SUV and crossover nameplates and uses year-to-date sales, the latest period in Nissan’s October 1, 2026 release. Sales volume is a measure of units sold—not a measure of reliability, owner satisfaction, search interest, or consumer preference.

What the sales ranking tells you
Rogue leads by a wide margin
The Rogue’s 201,991 sales place it well ahead of the second-ranked Pathfinder, which recorded 87,382. Nissan separately reported that Rogue retail sales rose 41% in the third quarter, but that quarterly retail figure is not the same measure as the table’s 24.8% year-to-date change in total sales.
Pathfinder is ahead of Kicks in 2026 so far
Pathfinder leads Kicks by 4,969 vehicles through September. That ordering differs from calendar year 2025, when Kicks sold 103,575 units and Pathfinder sold 101,598. The year-to-date ranking can shift as additional months are reported.

Armada’s growth rate does not make it a high-volume model
Armada’s 29.8% year-to-date increase is the largest positive percentage change among the six listed models, but its 16,361 sales put it fifth by volume. A growth rate and a sales ranking answer different questions: the former compares periods, while the latter orders cumulative units sold.
Ariya’s 2026 year-to-date result is unusually low relative to earlier years
Nissan reported 94 Ariya sales through September 2026, down 99.4% from the same period in 2025. The number should be read as the reported result for this period, not as a general measure of the model’s past sales: Nissan recorded 14,906 Ariya sales in full-year 2025 and 19,798 in 2024.

How the ranking changes with the year
Sales order depends on the period selected. Nissan’s full-year U.S. figures show that Pathfinder ranked ahead of Kicks in 2024, Kicks narrowly outsold Pathfinder in 2025, and Pathfinder leads Kicks in 2026 through September. Ariya also ranked above Armada in 2024, unlike the current year-to-date order.

Sales rank can show which Nissan nameplates had the highest reported U.S. volume in a defined period. It cannot establish which vehicle is best for a particular buyer or explain why people chose it. If you are comparing vehicles for a purchase, assess the factors that affect your own budget and use—such as purchase cost, seating and cargo needs, powertrain, and intended driving—using current model information. A sales ranking alone does not provide those specifications or prices.
