What Nintendo announced for MAR10 Day 2026
In a March 5, 2026 announcement, Nintendo said its MAR10 Day celebration honored the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and the upcoming release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. MAR10 Day refers to March 10. The announcement covered U.S. game offers and activities; the offers described below have expired.

Nintendo wrote: “Today, Nintendo announces ways fans can join in on the MAR10 Day (March 10) fun this year, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and upcoming release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (in theaters April 1).” (Nintendo’s March 5 announcement.)
U.S. physical game offers: March 8–14
Nintendo said select retailers, including official Nintendo U.S. stores, would offer these physical Nintendo Switch games at the following suggested retail prices from March 8 through March 14, while supplies lasted:

These were advertised prices for that promotion, not a guarantee of what any retailer charged or had in stock. The dates have passed, so they should not be treated as current offers.
U.S. digital discounts: through March 15
Nintendo said selected digital games on the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop would be discounted through March 15. Examples included Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Super Mario Maker 2 at $39.99 each. Nintendo’s U.S. sale page stated the MAR10 Day sale ended March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

The digital offers were limited to the named storefronts and promotional period. The announcement does not establish current prices or availability.
Other U.S. MAR10 Day promotions
Classic games for Nintendo Switch Online members
Nintendo said members with Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch could access selected Super Mario classics from systems including Super NES, Game Boy and NES. On March 10, members with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership could also play Mario vs. Donkey Kong for Game Boy Advance and the Virtual Boy games Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis. Nintendo’s announcement included additional hardware and membership conditions for the Virtual Boy collection.

Mario Kart World online events
Nintendo described three weekly Mario Kart World online events during March. Nintendo Switch Online members in the Americas could participate and receive 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points for taking part. A Nintendo Account and applicable terms were required. The announcement also offered a free seven-day Nintendo Switch Online trial, subject to account eligibility and stated restrictions.
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD vacation sweepstakes
The announced sweepstakes offered a chance to win a theme-park vacation for four, with a choice between Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort. Entries were accepted through May 31, 2026. Nintendo’s rules specified U.S. residency and age requirements, entry mechanics and destination-specific trip details. The entry period has ended.

Lunchables promotion
Selected Lunchables packs were to carry QR codes that could be scanned for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch 2 system and a digital game download. The announced promotion ran through May 31, 2026, and has ended. Nintendo said it was not the sponsor, co-sponsor or administrator of the sweepstakes; its linked official rules governed the promotion.
Nintendo Today! and in-person events
Nintendo highlighted Nintendo Today!, a free smart-device app for daily Nintendo updates. A Nintendo Account and compatible device were required. The announcement also pointed to a widget and matching Super Mario wallpaper.

Nintendo Canada announced a different package, including its own physical-game offer dates and Canadian suggested prices, a discount on a Samsung microSD Express Card for Nintendo Switch 2, and a free keychain wristlet at select EB Games stores with a qualifying Mario game purchase.
