NTA announced that the NIFT Entrance Examination 2024 would be held on 5 February 2024 and provided an advance city-intimation slip route through its NIFT portal. The slip identified the allotted exam city; it was not the admit card. This is a historical record of the 2024 notices, not confirmation that the individual slip can still be downloaded.
When was the NIFT 2024 entrance exam?
In a public notice dated 20 January 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) scheduled the NIFT Entrance Examination for 5 February 2024. The notice included programme-specific tests and shifts. For example, B.Des. candidates were scheduled for the General Ability Test (GAT) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the Creative Ability Test (CAT) from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.; B.F.Tech. GAT was scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Other programmes and combined programme schedules are listed in NTA’s original schedule and city-intimation notice; consult that table for the complete programme-by-programme timetable.
How to access the city-intimation slip
The 20 January notice directed candidates to the NTA NIFT portal: https://exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. This was the official route cited at the time. The available notice does not establish whether the portal still provides individual 2024 slips today.
What the city slip did—and did not—tell candidates
The city-intimation slip told a candidate the examination city allotted to them, giving advance notice for preparation. It was not an entry document for the exam. NTA stated in its notice, “The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for the Examination.” The admit card was to be issued separately.

When did NTA release the NIFT 2024 admit card?
NTA’s notice dated 1 February 2024 said admit cards for the 5 February examination were being released that day. Candidates were instructed to download the admit card using their application number and date of birth and to check that a barcode appeared on it. See the 1 February 2024 admit-card notice.
Stage-II dates were a separate phase
The 5 February entrance examination should not be confused with Stage II. NTA’s 4 April 2024 schedule set Stage-II tests and interviews for listed Bachelor’s programmes on 13 April. For B.Des. (Regular), the Situation Test was scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. B.Des. (Artisan) and B.Des. (NLEA) Studio Tests were listed for the same time, followed by personal interviews from 2:00 p.m. For B.F.Tech. (NLEA), the Technical Ability Test was scheduled from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by personal interviews from 2:00 p.m. The Stage-II schedule and Stage-II city-intimation notice contain the official details.
