Applications were accepted online from January 2 through January 22, 2024; that window has closed, so this is a record of the historical announcement, not an open application notice.
What NICL advertised
The notice listed 274 tentative vacancies across Generalist and Specialist disciplines. It showed 130 Generalist posts and included Specialist posts in Doctors (MBBS), Legal, Finance, Actuarial, Information Technology, Automobile Engineering and Hindi (Rajbhasha). The notice’s vacancy figures were tentative, rather than a guarantee of final appointments.
Applicants could select only one discipline. NICL stated, “Candidate can apply for any ONE discipline only.” If a candidate submitted more than one completed application, only the latest valid application was to be retained; fees paid for other registrations would be forfeited. Application dates and method
Online registration and fee payment ran from January 2 to January 22, 2024. The notice required online applications only and rejected other modes: “Candidates should apply through On-Line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.”

NICL said Phase I and Phase II exam dates, along with call-letter dates, would be announced later. The notice does not establish those later dates, the final selection outcome, or the status of any subsequent NICL recruitment. Its 2024 dates should not be treated as current deadlines.
Application fees in the 2024 notice

Any applicable transaction charge was payable by the candidate. The stated fees were non-refundable.

Posting and service conditions
NICL said selected candidates might be posted or transferred anywhere in India and would have to remain at their initial posting for at least five years. Specialist Officers might also be required to stay in the same specialization for at least ten years. These conditions are relevant to understanding the commitment attached to the roles, not just the application process.
