Nexus Mods announced that Premium subscription prices would rise on 17 June 2024, citing higher operating and infrastructure costs. The announcement listed monthly prices of $8.99, £7.19 or €8.39 and annual prices of $89.99, £71.99 or €83.99, before applicable taxes. Those are the announced base prices, not a guaranteed current checkout quote; check your account billing page or checkout for the amount and currency that apply to you.
How much does Nexus Mods Premium cost?
Nexus Mods published these prices in its 30 April 2024 announcement about the increase taking effect on 17 June 2024. They exclude applicable taxes.
| Billing interval | USD | GBP | EUR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $8.99 | £7.19 | €8.39 |
| Annual | $89.99 | £71.99 | €83.99 |
Nexus Mods’ announcement said new subscribers’ currency would match their location, with other currencies calculated from USD where possible. Local taxes may apply. The company also described a transition for existing subscribers: they would initially remain billed in GBP under the new system and could switch currency when available. The membership terms say the price, including VAT, is the one indicated on the website. Because location, tax and account details affect the final charge, use your billing page or checkout rather than assuming the 2024 figures are your current price.
Why did Nexus Mods raise the price?
Nexus Mods attributed the increase to rising operating costs, monetary inflation since 2021, infrastructure requirements and investment in its products and service. The company said the previous increase was three years earlier and the one before that was in 2013. These are the company’s explanations, not independently audited cost or inflation figures.

Is monthly or annual billing the better fit?
There are two documented billing intervals: monthly and annual. The annual total is lower than paying the announced monthly price for 12 months, but it requires a larger upfront payment. Your actual checkout amount may differ because of currency and tax.
- Compare the full amount shown at checkout, including tax, with how long you expect to use Premium.
- Consider how much you value uncapped downloads and one-click Collections for your own modding habits.
- Check whether the subscription renews on a monthly or yearly basis and note the renewal date before you sign up.
There is no universally best interval: the right choice depends on expected use, budget and the live terms shown for your account.

How does the free trial and renewal work?
According to Nexus Mods’ Premium Trial FAQ, eligible users who have never previously had Premium—including Supporter membership or a free month through mod-author rewards—can receive a three-day trial. The FAQ says users choose a monthly or annual plan and provide payment details. At the end of three days, the trial automatically becomes the selected paid plan unless canceled beforehand. Canceling during the trial immediately ends Premium access. Trial availability is limited by country and may change, so check the current FAQ and checkout before starting.
The terms describe recurring monthly or annual charges while a subscription remains active. Keep track of the trial end date or next renewal date so you know when a paid charge may occur.
