What changed on the Model Year 2027 Roll-Belt balers?
New Holland’s 14 July 2026 announcement describes upgrades to its Roll-Belt 1 Series, including a revised set of names for four configurations under the 561 lineup. The changes focus on protecting net during bale ejection, strengthening parts in key wear areas, and providing additional monitor and automation choices. New Holland’s announcement does not report independent tests or measured performance gains.
Net protection during ejection
On 5×6 balers, the new system uses electro-hydraulic belt-tension control. When the tailgate rises to eject a bale, belt tension relaxes and belt movement stops. New Holland says this can help prevent damage to net on finished bales, particularly in demanding conditions such as straw and heavy cornstalk residue, and may reduce rebaling. Those are manufacturer-stated benefits; the announcement gives no measured reduction in net damage or rebaling.
Heavier-duty rollers and bearings
New Holland says it added larger, heavier parts in key wear areas, including the tailgate, back-wrap and follower rollers, along with larger, more robust bearings. The company did not publish a service-life estimate or a quantified durability improvement, so buyers should treat this as a component update rather than a stated number of additional operating hours or bales.

Two separate technology options
- Bale Command 8: an optional color touchscreen monitor intended for customers who do not require full ISOBUS functionality.
- Factory-fit IntelliBale: allows the automation feature to be activated at the factory. New Holland says the bale-presence switch is provided on the machine invoice and that factory activation reduces dealer setup and activation time.
These are different choices: Bale Command 8 is a monitor option, while factory-fit IntelliBale concerns activation of automation. Confirm the intended monitor, automation features and compatibility for the exact machine configuration with a dealer.
