What was the NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025?
NCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, announced 1,765 apprenticeship opportunities under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Its notice covered graduate and diploma disciplines as well as designated ITI trades. The listed trades included electrician, fitter, welder, turner and machinist, alongside engineering degrees, mining and office-management diplomas. The training period was one year.
The application window was March 12–18, 2025, according to Hindustan Times’ contemporaneous report. NCL’s own LinkedIn announcement also gave March 18 as the deadline. That window has expired; the 2025 notice is not a current opening.
Who was eligible, and which portal applied?
NCL’s preliminary notice limited eligibility to candidates who passed the relevant qualification at an institute located in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh. It directed applicants to enroll on different apprenticeship portals depending on their qualification:

Hindustan Times reported an age range of 18–26 years as of March 1, 2025, corresponding to birth dates from March 2, 1999 through March 2, 2007. Because the detailed final notification was not directly accessible, treat those age particulars as reported information rather than a substitute for the official notice.
What stipend did the notice list?
The NCL notice published these monthly stipend amounts for the 2025 intake:

Hindustan Times described selection as merit-based. Graduate and diploma candidates were ranked by marks in the relevant qualifying degree or diploma stream. For ITI trades, merit was reportedly calculated as the average of the matriculation percentage and the relevant National Trade Certificate or State Trade Certificate passing percentage. The advertised total was 1,765, and the discipline-level table in the NCL-issued notice totals that number. Hindustan Times reported category figures of 152 graduate, 597 diploma and 941 trade posts; those figures add up to 1,690, not 1,765.
