For Thursday, 11 December 2025, the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) listed ready-transaction TT selling and buying rates of PKR 280.75 and PKR 280.25 per US dollar, PKR 328.28 and PKR 327.69 per euro, and PKR 375.37 and PKR 374.70 per pound. These are dated, indicative quotes—not one universal exchange rate. NBP’s cash/currency-note rates were different.
NBP ready-transaction rates on 11 December 2025
NBP’s Treasury & Capital Markets Group dated its rate sheet Thursday, 11 December 2025. The following are the sheet’s Ready Transaction Rates, quoted as TT (telegraphic transfer) selling and buying rates in Pakistani rupees per unit of foreign currency:

Cash and currency-note rates were different
For cash/currency notes, NBP listed these selling and buying rates per unit in PKR. They should not be substituted for the ready-transaction TT figures above.

What the quoted rates mean—and their limits
Buying and selling are separate sides of the quote: the bank’s buying rate is the rate at which it buys foreign currency, while its selling rate is the rate at which it sells it. The applicable category matters too: NBP’s sheet separates ready-transaction rates from cash/currency notes, indicative FBP rates, and conversion rates for frozen foreign-currency deposits.
NBP says its rates are market-indicative and subject to change without prior notice. The displayed rates are not valid for transactions above USD 5,000 equivalent; for larger transactions, NBP directs customers to its Treasury Sales Desk. The bank says it captures rates from sources it believes reliable and does not accept liability for consequences arising from their use. Confirm a current, applicable quote with NBP before transacting.

How the same-day SBP reference differs
The State Bank of Pakistan’s same-day Weighted Average Customer Exchange Rates series estimated commercial-bank customer quotes from banks’ daily indicative exchange-rate sheets. For USD on 11 December 2025, it reported buying at PKR 280.1130 and selling at PKR 280.5381. This is an SBP market reference, not an NBP quote or a guaranteed transaction rate, and it is a different series from NBP’s TT and cash-note tables.
