How many Nagaland Police Constable posts were advertised?
The Office of the Director General of Police, Nagaland, advertised 1,176 Constable (GD) posts through an open rally in 2025. The recruitment was for eligible Indigenous Inhabitant Tribes of Nagaland; non-Indigenous applicants were not eligible. The vacancy count and eligibility came from the department’s September 30, 2025 advertisement.
What was the last date to apply?
The original application window was October 6, 2025, at noon to November 7, 2025, at 3 p.m. That November 7 date was superseded: the final deadline was November 26, 2025, following official extensions, including an addendum dated November 21. Applications are no longer being accepted for this cycle.
Who was eligible for Nagaland Police Constable GD?
Community and age
The advertisement limited applications to eligible Indigenous Inhabitant Tribes of Nagaland. Applicants had to be 18 to 38 years old as of the advertisement date. Serving government employees could receive age concessions under applicable government notifications.

Education
The minimum education requirement depended on the tribe category: Class 6 passed or higher for Backward Tribes, and Class 8 passed or higher for other Indigenous Naga Tribes. The qualification had to be from the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) or an equivalent recognized board.
District and physical standards
Candidates could apply for only one district and were required to attend the tests in that district; the advertisement warned that appearing in another district would lead to rejection. The indexed advertisement states minimum height requirements of 162 cm for men and 152 cm for women. It also lists chest measurements and requires weight proportionate to height under medical standards. How did the application and fee work?
Applications were online only through the Nagaland Police Registration Portal. The non-refundable examination fee was ₹300. Applicants were asked to upload educational proof, identity proof, and relevant Indigenous Inhabitant or tribe certificates. These were requirements for the closed 2025 application, not instructions for a future cycle.
When were the physical test and written exam?
A schedule issued by the DGP’s office on December 10, 2025, set the physical and medical standards tests for January 7–13, 2026, from 8 a.m. onward. The written test was scheduled for January 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. The schedule said interview date, time, and venue would be announced later.

At the time, candidates were instructed to download and print their admit cards from the recruitment portal beginning December 18, 2025, bring photocopies of documents uploaded with their applications, and report one hour before the test. Those dates and directions are historical; they are not upcoming test instructions.
