MSI RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio Was Listed at €1,169 by MediaMarkt Austria

A removed MediaMarkt Austria listing put MSI’s premium RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC Plus at €1,169 before launch. It was not a confirmed final price for the RTX 5070 Ti range.

MediaMarkt Austria was reported to have briefly listed the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Gaming Trio OC Plus for €1,169 on February 11, 2025, ahead of a February 20 release date shown on the retailer page. The listing was later removed. It was an early price for one premium MSI card—not confirmation that every RTX 5070 Ti cost €1,169 or that this became the final Austrian sale price. VideoCardz reported the listing at the time.

What the €1,169 listing did—and did not—establish

The reported MediaMarkt Austria page named a specific product, the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Gaming Trio OC Plus, showed a price of €1,169, and gave February 20, 2025, as its release date. The page was reportedly removed before launch, so contemporaneous reporting is the surviving evidence.

Those details describe a retailer listing, not a completed sale. A listing can appear before stock is allocated, and a stated release date does not establish that units were available to order or ship. Nor does an early price necessarily equal a launch MSRP, a final street price, or a temporary placeholder or inventory price. The evidence does not establish that MediaMarkt ultimately sold this exact card for €1,169.

Contemporary coverage put the figure roughly 30–32% above the European or German reference price it used. That comparison varies with the chosen reference and regional pricing and tax treatment; the €1,169 figure should be read as the reported Austrian listing price, not as a tax-adjusted universal comparison. KitGuru’s contemporaneous roundup also recorded other early European listings.

Which RTX 5070 Ti was listed?

The Gaming Trio OC Plus is MSI’s premium, factory-overclocked implementation of the RTX 5070 Ti, not a separate GPU tier. MSI lists a large TRI FROZR 4 cooler, StormForce fans, a nickel-plated copper baseplate, a metal backplate, dual BIOS, and MSI Center controls. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent measurements of noise or temperatures. A larger cooler may offer more thermal headroom or quieter operation, but the result depends on the case, airflow, BIOS mode, and workload. A factory overclock should not be assumed to deliver a proportional frame-rate gain.

The card shares the RTX 5070 Ti platform’s GPU and memory configuration with other RTX 5070 Ti models. Its premium is therefore principally for the board design and cooling, not a 30% increase in gaming performance. Buyers should compare independent results for frame rates, noise, and temperatures before paying extra.

MSI Gaming Trio OC Plus specifications

The following figures are MSI’s published specifications for model G507T-16GTCP. MSI’s specification page is the reference for this exact model.

Was €1,169 the price of every RTX 5070 Ti?

No. The reported figure applied to this particular premium MSI board. Other prelaunch European listings varied by retailer and model. The same Gaming Trio model was reported in France at about €1,149–€1,150; other cards appeared at lower or higher prices, including German listings reported from roughly €1,149 to above €1,350. Some non-OC models were reported closer to the reference price. These were separate early listings, not a comprehensive survey of final retail prices. PC Guide covered additional retailer listings.

Gaming Trio sits above more basic MSI families such as Ventus or Shadow, and premium board designs can cost more because of their cooler and features. But the RTX 5070 Ti had no NVIDIA Founders Edition, leaving buyers to choose among board-partner cards. That made partner pricing especially relevant without making one partner listing the price of the whole GPU range.

What the premium may buy—and what it cannot guarantee

  • Potential benefits: a substantial triple-fan cooler, dual BIOS modes, and more thermal headroom than a compact or simpler design. Whether that translates into lower noise or temperatures depends on the particular system and operating conditions.
  • Limited performance implication: the factory boost clock is a modest change to the same GPU platform. It is not evidence of a large gaming-performance lead over a cheaper RTX 5070 Ti.
  • Practical trade-offs: at 338mm long, 140mm high, and 50mm thick, the card needs careful clearance checks. Its 16-pin power connection also requires space for safe cable routing.
  • Value risk: a premium model can approach the price of faster alternatives or competing GPUs. Compare current local prices and independent tests rather than relying on the Gaming Trio name or manufacturer cooling claims.

What a buyer should check before choosing this model

  1. Measure available GPU space, including clearance lost to front fans or a radiator; allow room for the power cable and check the card’s 50mm thickness against neighboring slots.
  2. Check the power supply against MSI’s 750W recommendation and confirm whether it has a compatible native 16-pin cable or whether the included power arrangement requires an adapter.
  3. Compare the exact model suffix. Gaming Trio, Gaming Trio OC, and Gaming Trio OC Plus are not interchangeable product names.
  4. Compare local, VAT-inclusive prices, warranty terms, and the retailer’s return policy against cheaper RTX 5070 Ti models.
  5. Wait for independent reviews if cooler noise, temperature, or sustained performance is central to the purchase; the product feature list does not establish those results.

Did the listing confirm stock for February 20?

No. The page reportedly displayed February 20, 2025, as the release date and indicated that preorder availability would come later. A date on a product page does not prove that launch-day stock was allocated or that a customer could place an order. Contemporary reports discussed RTX 50-series availability concerns, but the listing itself does not establish a stock quantity or queue position. PC Guide reported the preorder context.

How to read the price signal

The €1,169 listing was a reason to watch premium RTX 5070 Ti pricing, not proof that NVIDIA’s reference pricing was fictitious or that the card was universally priced at that level. It concerned one premium MSI model, appeared before launch, and was later removed. A more grounded buying decision compares the final prices and availability of multiple board designs, then weighs measured performance and cooler behavior against the extra cost.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
