Money20/20 Europe 2025 took place June 3–5 at Amsterdam RAI. The organizer reported thousands of attendees representing more than 2,200 companies and nearly 100 countries, alongside 450 speakers from 40 countries. Its agenda and announcements centered on digital currencies, AI, open finance, payments, and Europe’s fintech policy and competitiveness.
What was Money20/20 Europe 2025?
Money20/20 describes its conferences as a content, sales, and networking platform for the global money ecosystem, spanning payments, fintech, and financial services. Its Europe audience includes professionals from banks, payment companies, startups, technology firms, regulators, and other financial-services organizations. That is the organizer’s positioning, not an independent assessment of the event’s quality or business outcomes.
The 2025 edition was a three-day professional conference. Its announced agenda included more than 200 speakers; after the event, Money20/20 reported a delivered lineup of 450 speakers from 40 countries. These are two different counts: the first was preliminary, while the latter was the organizer’s post-event figure.
When and where was Money20/20 Europe 2025?
Money20/20 Europe was scheduled for June 3–5, 2025, at Amsterdam RAI, according to an agenda announcement published March 10, 2025 and attributed to the organizer. The post-event release describes the three-day Amsterdam edition as having wrapped and carries a June 10 body dateline. Its webpage URL contains an October 6, 2025 date string, which conflicts with that dateline; the URL string should not be treated as the event date.

Payments, digital currencies, and open finance
Payments and financial data access connected several strands of the program. The release reported announcements involving Revolut, Klarna and Visa, Mastercard and Deutsche Bank, Enfuce and Shuttle, Kraken and Ivy, LSEG, NYSE, and NomuPay. It also quoted Mastercard Chief AI Officer Greg Ulrich on the Mastercard–Deutsche Bank partnership: “This will bring open banking-powered account-to-account payments to merchants across Europe.”
Policy and regulation
Financial regulators participated in the inaugural, closed-door Money20/20 Policy Exchange, which the organizer said focused on cryptocurrency regulation, Open Finance data access, and cross-border policy in partnership with the Bank for International Settlements. Because the discussions were closed-door, the public release establishes their stated scope, not the substance of individual contributions or conclusions.
Startups and industry research
Sinpex won the Startup Pitch competition. Money20/20 also named Oscilar, AbbeyCross, Indicio, Carbon Equity, Esca, Nekod, and ChainComply among startups on the briefing stage. The organizer and FXC Intelligence launched a report titled “How Will Europe’s Money Move in the Future? 2025’s View of 2035.”

How could professionals judge whether the event fit their work?
The event’s stated value proposition combined conference content with sales and networking. Fit therefore depended on what a prospective attendee hoped to do, rather than on the breadth of the audience alone.
| Professional role | Potentially relevant focus | Possible goal |
|---|---|---|
| Bank or financial institution | Open finance, account-to-account payments, AI, regulation | Understand developments, meet providers, or explore partnerships |
| Payment provider or fintech | Payments, digital currencies, fraud, identity, partnerships | Build commercial relationships or raise visibility |
| Startup | Investor, customer, and partner connections; startup programming | Present a product, pursue dealmaking, or learn from peers |
| Regulator or policy professional | Cryptocurrency regulation, data access, cross-border policy | Follow public programming and engage with the policy community |
| Technology firm | AI, identity, data, and financial infrastructure | Meet potential customers or partners |
This is a way to map the announced themes and organizer-stated conference purpose to a role; it is not an independent evaluation of attendance outcomes.
What should attendees know about planning?
A Money20/20 Connect attendee guide describes an agenda with sessions, times, speakers, themes, and stage locations, plus tools for saving sessions to a personal schedule and managing meeting availability. The guide is labeled USA 2024, so it provides general context about the platform, not confirmation that every feature or step applied unchanged in Europe 2025. For a multi-day event, a portable power bank may be useful if relying on a phone for agenda or meeting details, but it is optional and not an organizer requirement.
The 2025 event is over. Current Money20/20 pages promote later editions, so their dates and pass information should not be read as details for the 2025 Amsterdam conference.
