Mister Focaccia specializes in focaccia Barese, a style associated with Puglia in southern Italy, where founder Fabio Merafina grew up. PerthNow’s June 25, 2025 profile describes herb- and tomato-topped rolls; the business website also lists coffee, taralli and other South Italian street food. The official site presents the offer at Mister Focaccia, while the WA Good Food Guide describes the CBD shop and menu.
Merafina told PerthNow that the business prepares its dough and slices meat in store. That is the owner’s description of its process, not an independent comparison with other Perth bakeries. The phrase “the best” in the original headline is promotional framing; the available sources do not establish a ranking, award or comparison proving it.

The two locations serve different settings: Leederville is the original neighborhood shop, while the CBD site is positioned for office workers and city foot traffic. The CBD shop opened about six weeks before PerthNow’s June 25, 2025 article; that is a historical opening reference, not a current estimate of how long it has been operating.
What is known about expansion plans
In the June 2025 PerthNow interview, Merafina said he was thinking about opening another store and more after that “if possible.” He also said, “Let’s see where the future takes us 😁.” These remarks express ambition, not a confirmed location, timetable or commitment to a wider rollout. No subsequent opening plan is established by the sources cited here.

Menus and availability on a delivery platform may differ from in-store offerings and can change.
