The other names and figures differ: Capology pairs Lankshear with Callum Brittain at an estimated £25,000 gross per week, while SalaryLeaks lists Lankshear and Jeremy Sarmiento at £25,000 per week and Brittain at £20,000. These are estimates, not club-confirmed salaries.
Who are Middlesbrough’s highest-paid players in 2026/27?
The two databases agree on Lankshear’s estimated weekly figure but do not produce the same ranking for the other top earners. Capology describes its figures as estimated fixed salaries, excluding bonuses; SalaryLeaks says Championship salary data is rarely published and that many amounts are informed estimates.

|---|---|---|
| Will Lankshear | £25,000 gross per week; £1.3 million per year | £25,000 per week; £1.3 million per year |
| Callum Brittain | £25,000 gross per week; £1.3 million per year | £20,000 per week; £1 million per year |
| Jeremy Sarmiento | Not shown as a tied top earner in Capology’s returned table | £25,000 per week; £1.3 million per year |
Capology says its figures are estimates and do not represent official figures. Its fixed-salary estimates exclude bonuses, image rights, commercial deals and other benefits. SalaryLeaks also cautions that its Championship figures are estimates rather than comprehensive published salary data. Neither database establishes what Middlesbrough FC has officially agreed to pay each player.
Why do the salary rankings differ?
The sources disagree both on Brittain’s estimated amount and on who shares the top position with Lankshear. Capology lists Brittain at £25,000 per week, whereas SalaryLeaks estimates £20,000; SalaryLeaks puts Sarmiento at £25,000 per week, while he is not shown as a tied top earner in Capology’s returned table. These are differences between database estimates, not proof of a confirmed pay arrangement.

Weekly and annual amounts are not separate disclosed contract facts: annual figures are presented by the databases alongside weekly estimates. A fixed-salary estimate also should not be treated as total compensation when bonuses or other benefits may be excluded.
