Meghalaya Police dated its online admit-card notice for eligible AB/UB written-examination candidates in the Eastern and Western Ranges 17 February 2022. The notice linked to eligible-candidate lists for each range. The download instructions and exam dates reported at the time are historical; the available sources do not confirm that the 2022 download endpoint still works.
What the 17 February 2022 notice covered
The official Meghalaya Police notice, “Online Admit Cards for Written Examination of AB/UB Group in both Eastern Range and Western Range”, was dated 17 February 2022. It concerned eligible candidates for the AB/UB written examination and provided separate eligible-candidate lists for the Eastern and Western Ranges.

The notice belongs to a past recruitment cycle. The official recruitment archive also records a written-examination notice dated 24 February 2022 and, separately, a 3 March 2022 notice for FM/DFM/DFC posts. Those are distinct items, not part of the 17 February AB/UB admit-card notice.
What was reported about downloading the admit card
In its report published on 17 February 2022, Scroll.in said eligible candidates could download the admit card through the official Meghalaya Police website using a unique reference number and date of birth. Those credential instructions come from the contemporaneous report; the official notice text identified here establishes the notice and range-specific eligible lists, but not those precise login steps.

The same Scroll.in report said the written examination was scheduled for 26 and 27 February 2022 in both ranges. That was the announced schedule at the time, not confirmation in these sources that the examination took place on those dates.
Can you still use the 2022 download link?
The available official archive records the 2022 notice and later recruitment updates, but does not establish that the old admit-card download endpoint remains active. Do not treat a historic link or its reference-number/date-of-birth instructions as a current application or admit-card portal.
For a current recruitment cycle, use the notices and instructions published on the official Meghalaya Police website. Follow the process specified for that particular cycle rather than assuming the 2022 login method still applies.

Meghalaya Police Central Recruitment Board guidelines describe admit cards as generated by the e-Recruitment System for eligible applications and as carrying candidate and examination details. This is general process guidance; it does not verify the present status of the 2022 endpoint or establish every detail of how that specific download worked.
