The clearest 2027 rebound forecast in the available company results belongs to Integer Holdings, a medical-device contract manufacturer—not the medtech industry as a whole. In April 2026, Integer said it expected to return to organic sales growth 200 basis points above the market in 2027. That is management’s forward-looking expectation, not a confirmed outcome or an industry consensus. The evidence also does not establish that medtech broadly faces “one more weak quarter.”
What Integer reported and forecast
Integer develops and manufactures medical devices for other companies, serving markets that include cardio and vascular, neuromodulation, and cardiac rhythm management. Its results offer one view of the industry’s supply chain, but they should not be treated as a proxy for all medical-device makers. Integer’s first-quarter 2026 results and its April 2026 outlook show why the company’s near-term picture was cautious.

First-quarter 2026: modest sales growth, lower adjusted earnings
Integer reported sales of $439.6 million, up 0.5% year over year. On its organic basis, sales rose 1.3%; adjusted earnings per share fell 8.4%. The company defines organic sales change by excluding foreign-currency effects, acquisition contributions, and the exit of its Portable Medical business, so that percentage is not directly interchangeable with every other company’s growth measure.

CEO Payman Khales said, “Given recent customer forecast updates and market dynamics, we believe it was prudent to further risk adjust our outlook.” The remark describes Integer’s response to its own customer forecasts and market conditions; it does not establish a sector-wide downturn.

Full-year 2026: lower sales outlook
Integer forecast 2026 sales of $1.805 billion to $1.835 billion, which it described as a reported year-over-year decline of 3% to 1%. This was a company forecast issued in April 2026, not a reported full-year result.
2027: a company target relative to the market
Khales said, “We expect to return to 200 basis points above-market organic sales growth in 2027.” In other words, Integer expected its organic growth rate to exceed its estimate of the market’s growth rate by two percentage points. The statement does not give a specific 2027 sales-growth percentage, and “above-market” is not a forecast for the whole medtech sector. Integer cautions that forward-looking statements are predictions, not guarantees, and are subject to risks and assumptions. Its filing and release materials include that caution.
Why “one more weak quarter” is not established for medtech
The company disclosures cited here do not identify a specific next quarter as the final weak one, nor do they establish that phrase as a consensus forecast. A single company’s cautious outlook cannot support a claim about all medtech companies. Results varied across the sector, and the companies below operate in different segments and use different fiscal calendars and growth measures.
These figures are useful as examples of that variation, not as inputs to a combined sector-growth rate:

How to read these growth numbers
Percentages that look comparable may describe different things. Reported growth includes the effects of currency and other changes; organic and constant-currency measures adjust for some factors, but company definitions differ. Danaher’s figures are non-GAAP core revenue forecasts, while Integer’s organic measure excludes several specific items. Compare each figure within its own company’s reporting framework rather than treating the table as a like-for-like ranking.
- Check the period. Quarterly results, fiscal-year forecasts, and forecasts for a future quarter are not the same kind of evidence.
- Check the basis. A reported percentage can differ from an organic, constant-currency, foreign-exchange-neutral, or non-GAAP core measure.
- Separate sales from earnings. Revenue growth does not mean adjusted earnings grew; Integer’s first-quarter sales increased while its adjusted EPS declined.
- Keep forecasts attributed. Guidance describes what a particular company expected at a particular time. It is not a realized result or a promise.
What investors can reasonably take from the outlook
Integer’s April 2026 update points to a subdued company-specific 2026 sales outlook followed by management’s expectation of stronger relative organic growth in 2027. The other cited releases show that conditions were not uniform: several companies reported growth or raised guidance, while Danaher’s outlook was for low-single-digit core revenue growth.
That mix supports a cautious reading of the rebound claim. It is reasonable to describe 2027 as Integer’s expected return to growth above its market benchmark; it is not supported to call it a guaranteed medtech rebound. The cited company statements also do not determine how any security will perform or establish a broader industry forecast.
