How this ranking works
This is a ranking of specifically documented race-car examples associated with Verstappen’s collecting ambition and public displays. It is not a ranking of his road cars, an appraisal, or a claim that these are the only cars he has kept. In a 2019 interview, Verstappen said he received a car each year, did not want to sell them, and hoped to build a museum. The same interview described two Toro Rosso cars on display at his store at that time. Verstappen.nl’s 2019 interview is the primary source for those statements.

1. 2015 Toro Rosso — strongest career milestone
In the 2019 interview, Verstappen recalled that his 2015 Toro Rosso was displayed at the Max Verstappen Store. The car stands out here as a documented example from his first Toro Rosso season and as the clearest specific link between his stated wish to keep cars and a public display. The source establishes its display status in 2019; it does not establish where the car is now.
2. 2016 Toro Rosso — next documented display example
The same 2019 interview reported that Verstappen’s 2016 Toro Rosso was then on display at the store. That makes it the second specifically identified example in this limited ranking. As with the 2015 car, the interview is historical evidence, not confirmation of its present location or ownership arrangements.

What is known about his collecting plans
Verstappen’s 2019 comments are evidence of an intention to retain the cars he received and to build a museum around them. They do not provide a current inventory, identify every car, or establish a timeline for a museum. The public record cited here therefore supports the ambition and the two historical display examples, but not a complete count.

Mercedes-AMG GT3: racing program and fan replicas
The official Max Verstappen Store’s NBR NLS GT3 page describes Verstappen Racing’s 2026 Nürburgring campaign and lists 1:18 and 1:43 scale models of its Mercedes-AMG GT3. These are merchandise replicas; their sale does not establish that this car is part of Verstappen’s personal full-size collection.

Scale-model collecting: a dated answer, not a permanent status
Asked in 2018 whether he collected scale models, Verstappen said he had none and thought his father had a few. That answer records his position at the time, not a lasting preference, and it does not conflict with official fan models being sold later. The 2018 interview contains the exchange.
A 1994 Formula 1 car: an interest, not an owned car
In that 2018 interview, Verstappen said a 1994 Formula 1 car was one he would like to try, adding that it was not necessarily in his collection. It should not be counted as a car he owns or has collected.

What cannot be verified about the collection
The sources cited here do not establish a complete current list of Verstappen’s private road cars or a reliable total value for his collection. A car he drove professionally, a team or racing-program car, a historical display car, and a personally owned road car are different categories. Viral lists or estimated totals should not be treated as confirmed ownership without direct, attributable evidence.
