What Lyft Jobs Access offers
Jobs Access is a Lyft initiative delivered with community and workforce partners. Depending on the local program, support may cover rideshare trips, bike trips, or scooter trips for job interviews, training, and employment. Lyft’s current overview names Indeed, Goodwill, and United Way as supporters; the Get Help page describes rides offered through United Way and Goodwill. The actual options depend on the city and partner.
Some participating Goodwill sites may also offer trips for criminal-record expungement services or to pick up internet hotspots donated by Indeed. Those are location-specific services, not benefits available through every Jobs Access program.
Who qualifies—and where
Lyft says people may be eligible in certain cities. Its Get Help page does not set a single national income threshold or guarantee that every low-income rider can receive assistance. Eligibility and available rides depend on the local partner and available funds.

The page lists Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, as well as Washington, D.C. A listed state does not mean every city in it is served.
How to check availability and apply
- Open Lyft’s Jobs Access Get Help page and choose “Get started.”
- Enter the requested location and intake information to check whether a local program is available. Follow the instructions for the relevant community partner.
- Confirm which trips qualify—such as an interview, training, or commute to a job—and whether the local option is rideshare, a bike, or a scooter.
- Ask the local partner about eligibility, current funding, and any ride or time limits. Lyft’s page does not establish a uniform nationwide allowance.
If no option appears for your location, the page does not establish that assistance is available there. You can also contact local workforce or Goodwill and United Way services to ask what transportation support they administer.

What “over 35 markets” means
“Over 35 markets” is a historical description, not a current count readers should use to determine local availability. Lyft’s October 17, 2019 launch announcement said nonprofit partners would connect people with rides in 35+ markets in the United States and Canada; a September 22, 2022 post also described the program as operating in over 35 markets.
In a July 15, 2026 update, Lyft said Jobs Access had provided access to more than 135,000 rides across 30+ markets in the United States and Canada since 2021. That is a cumulative, company-reported figure covering the period since 2021, not a current market-by-market availability list. The state and city intake on Lyft’s Get Help page is the practical way to check locally.

What Lyft reports about the program
Lyft reported that its 2026 Jobs Access commitment had passed $500,000, and that its Goodwill and United Way partnerships provided almost $400,000 in free and discounted rides during 2025. These are company-reported figures, not an independent evaluation of the program’s effect on employment.
The same July 2026 update said 58 people graduated from Bike Path in 2025 and 98% landed jobs. Those figures apply to Bike Path, a Citi Bike and Bike New York program training formerly incarcerated New Yorkers as professional bike mechanics; they should not be read as outcomes for all Jobs Access participants.

Round Up & Donate is separate
Lyft’s Jobs Access overview also describes Round Up & Donate, an optional feature that rounds a ride fare up to the nearest dollar and sends the difference to Goodwill or United Way. It is a way to donate, not an application route or qualification for receiving Jobs Access rides.
