The distinction matters: the group holds the global partnership, while each Maison has its own role and activations.
What is the LVMH and Formula 1 deal?
Formula 1 announced the agreement on October 2, 2024. It began in 2025 and lasts 10 years. The announcement named Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and TAG Heuer as participating Maisons within the LVMH partnership; it did not make each brand a Global Partner in its own right. Formula 1’s announcement described the agreement as a Global Partnership.
Frédéric Arnault, then CEO of LVMH Watches, said: “In recent years, Formula 1 has truly become one of the most desirable sports in the world.” Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “Our sport is founded on the relentless pursuit of excellence, a value that also lies at the heart of LVMH, so I am delighted to announce this historic partnership will begin in 2025.” Both statements appeared in the October 2024 announcement.
Is TAG Heuer Formula 1’s Official Timekeeper?
Yes. TAG Heuer resumed the Official Timekeeper role for the 2025 season. Formula 1 announced its return on January 6, 2025, and its partner listing identifies LVMH as Global Partner for the 10-year term while describing TAG Heuer as Official Timekeeper. The timekeeping appointment is a defined role within the broader group partnership; it is not evidence that every TAG Heuer watch is an official race timepiece or that a particular consumer model is included in the agreement. Formula 1’s partner information does reference a TAG Heuer Formula 1 watch collection, but that alone does not establish a special edition tied to this partnership. Formula 1’s partner listing provides the collection reference.
How do Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and TAG Heuer participate?
The brands bring different activities to selected parts of the sport rather than sharing one identical sponsorship role.

These are examples of how the agreement has been activated, not a promise that every Maison appears at every race in the same way. LVMH’s partnership page details the brand activities, while Formula 1 separately announced TAG Heuer’s Monaco title-partner role. The agreement is for 10 years, beginning in 2025. LVMH’s January 2026 shareholder letter recaps the first season and calls 2026 the partnership’s second year, confirming that it was active in 2026. LVMH’s January 2026 shareholder letter provides that season update.
