A 79-year-old man from Ellenbrook has claimed a $1 million Division One prize in Millionaire Medley, Lotterywest reported on 10 August 2026. The operator says he had previously won a $1 million Lotto prize in a Wednesday draw in 2023.
How did the Ellenbrook man win $1 million again?
According to Lotterywest’s 10 August 2026 announcement, the man bought the winning ticket at Kingsway City Lottery Centre. It matched the six main numbers in the previous Wednesday’s Millionaire Medley draw. Lotterywest did not give the draw number, exact date or winning combination in its announcement.
The release quotes the unnamed winner recalling a call to his sons while travelling by train to Lotterywest’s head office: “I said to my sons, I might be a millionaire, again,” he laughed. Lotterywest also says he found the result hard to believe until he was back in the Winners Room. The operator has not named him, so his identity should remain private.
How Millionaire Medley works
Lotterywest describes Millionaire Medley as a nationwide game drawn on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A standard line consists of six numbers selected from 1 to 45. Six main numbers are drawn first, followed by two supplementary numbers; the game has six prize divisions.
#1 Best Overall
Division One requires matching all six main numbers. Supplementary numbers are used for lower prize divisions, not to complete a Division One match. Lotterywest lists the odds of Division One for one standard game as 1 in 8,145,060 and the approximate odds of winning any prize as 1 in 86. Those figures apply per standard game; they do not make any individual selection more likely than another.
What does the $1 million Division One prize mean?
Lotterywest’s current Millionaire Medley game page, accessed 8 October 2026, says the $6 million Division One pool guarantees $1 million for up to six winners. If more than six people win Division One, the pool is shared among them. Lotterywest’s example says seven winners would receive $857,142 each.

The operator lists Standard, System and Super Combo entry formats. Their cost and number of lines covered depend on the selected format; compare those details in Lotterywest’s current pricing and systems information. The published Division One odds are for one standard game, and Lotterywest says the odds are the same for each game played. A format covering more lines is not a strategy that improves the odds of any one line.

In a 9 May 2024 launch announcement, Lotterywest said Millionaire Medley grew out of Monday and Wednesday Lotto, added a Friday draw and increased the number of potential $1 million Division One winners from up to four to up to six. Those are historical details from the operator’s launch announcement, not a current claim about player demand.
