Times of India reported a $1.5 million estimate in January 2026, attributing it to Celebrity Net Worth, but did not show a calculation or supporting financial records. Sports Illustrated reported in 2021 that Jones’s agent declined to disclose her earnings. The $1.5 million figure is therefore an unverified media estimate, not a confirmed measure of her wealth.
What the reported $1.5 million estimate means
The Times of India’s January 20, 2026 article gives the only explicit current net-worth figure in the reporting reviewed: an estimated $1.5 million, attributed to Celebrity Net Worth. The article does not explain how the figure was calculated or identify assets, debts, or other records behind it. Times of India’s report should be read as a report of an estimate, not as verification of Jones’s finances.
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus liabilities. It is different from annual income, prize money, sponsorship payments, or the value of contracts. Without a disclosed balance sheet or a transparent calculation, those income figures cannot establish a net-worth total.
What is known about Jones’s earnings
Track income and sponsorships
A 2021 Sports Illustrated profile reports that Jones made nothing in her first year as a professional athlete and received $7,500 from a Nike sponsorship in her second year. The profile says that in good years she netted hundreds of thousands of dollars from sponsorships and prize money, but does not give specific yearly totals. It also says her agent declined to disclose her earnings.

Those details show that her income could vary; they do not reveal how much she retained after expenses, taxes, or other obligations, and they cannot be added together to produce a net-worth estimate.
Bobsled costs and prize money
Jones described using track earnings to support her bobsled career in a 2014 interview with TheStreet. She said, “Bobsled is very expensive,” and explained that some travel was paid out of pocket.
In 2013, ABC News reported on a $741.84 check from the 2012–13 bobsled season. The federation said the payment represented performance-based prize money from the international federation and a sponsor, not a regular salary. It also explained that Jones, as a rookie, did not qualify for a monthly stipend that season. Jones said the paycheck highlighted the difference between track and bobsled. A one-time prize payment does not show annual earnings or accumulated wealth. ABC News’s account provides that context.
Media work and endorsements
Sports Illustrated’s 2021 profile also describes Jones’s appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother, and The Challenge, as well as paid reality-television work and social-media promotion for brands including Pedialyte, TopGolf, and Abide at that time. The profile does not disclose payment amounts, and these dated examples do not establish current contracts.

That is contemporaneous reporting, not a current endorsement list or a verified input to a present-day net-worth calculation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why no precise figure can be confirmed
The available reporting answers different questions. The $1.5 million figure is a recent estimate, but its calculation is not shown. The older reporting offers snapshots of earnings and expenses, while Sports Illustrated says the agent did not disclose earnings. None of these sources provides a current accounting of assets, liabilities, taxes, investments, property, or contract totals. As a result, the evidence supports describing the estimate and its limits, not stating a precise net worth as fact.
Rank #4
For career context rather than financial valuation, Track & Field News’s career summary notes Jones’s high-level hurdles achievements, including an indoor world title in 2008. Athletic results alone do not establish a person’s wealth.
