Linda Hogan’s Ex-Boyfriend’s $1.5 Million Lawsuit: What’s Confirmed

Charlie Hill’s 2014 lawsuit against Linda Hogan involved a claim of more than $1.5 million. TMZ reported a private settlement, but available reporting does not confirm a court dismissal.

There is no verified record in the available sources showing that a judge dismissed Charlie Hill’s lawsuit against Linda Bollea, known as Linda Hogan. Contemporary reporting says Hill sued Bollea and Valley Girl Entertainment in 2014, and TMZ later reported that Hill and Hogan reached a private settlement. That report does not establish that the court dismissed the lawsuit.

What did Charlie Hill claim in the lawsuit?

Courthouse News Service reported that Hill sued Bollea and Valley Girl Entertainment in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 29, 2014. Hill alleged that the value of labor and materials he supplied for projects exceeded $1.5 million. That figure was his claimed value of the work, not a court award or a finding that the defendants owed him money. Courthouse News Service’s 2014 report described alleged construction, renovation, landscaping and accounting work, along with claims including breach of contract, breach of faith, unjust enrichment and unlawful business practices. Those were allegations in the reported complaint.

Was the lawsuit dismissed or settled?

TMZ reported that Hill and Hogan reached a private settlement when they split. Its account described $9,000 plus Hill keeping certain property in exchange for confidentiality. This was a reported settlement detail, not a court award. TMZ’s report does not provide a court order dismissing Hill’s lawsuit, so it cannot establish whether or when a judge formally dismissed the case. TMZ’s settlement report

What was the separate lawsuit?

TMZ also reported that Hogan’s lawyer filed a separate suit seeking to stop Hill from making statements after an alleged breach of confidentiality. That was a different legal action from Hill’s original money claim. The report does not establish the ultimate disposition of either case, so the two matters should not be treated as evidence that Hill’s lawsuit was dismissed. What did Hogan’s side say?

A follow-up TMZ item presented Hogan’s side and quoted her lawyer, Ray Rafool: “Linda is embarrassed for Charlie and can’t believe he’d say such things considering the relationship they had.” This is a statement attributed to Hogan’s lawyer in entertainment-news coverage, not a judicial finding about Hill’s claims or the case’s outcome. What is known about the case’s final disposition?

The available reporting supports that Hill filed the lawsuit and that TMZ later reported a private settlement. It does not verify a dismissal order, dismissal date, or whether any dismissal was with or without prejudice. Without a court record, the headline claim that the million-dollar lawsuit was “dismissed” should be treated as unconfirmed—not as an established court outcome.
