Those figures are statements reported from Bravo programming, not audited financial results. In 2026, Bravo reported that Loverboy was still operating and releasing products, but that does not establish its current solvency.
Did Loverboy lose almost $3 million?
Cooke said, “You know, last year we lost almost $3 million,” in a Summer House Season 8 After Show segment reported by Bravo on May 16, 2024. His phrase “last year” referred to the year before that 2024 discussion. The report does not establish the figure through audited accounts or independent financial records.
In the same coverage, Cooke said Loverboy had been profitable for the three years before the loss period and had lost $1.5 million during the first six months of the year he was discussing. Those are separate time periods and measures; they should not be added together or treated as a single current balance.
What did Cooke say was putting pressure on the company?
Cooke said Loverboy had experienced declining distribution over the preceding six months, which he said meant declining revenue. He also said he had stopped taking a salary to preserve cash. These were his explanations in the Bravo footage, not an independent accounting of why the company lost money.

In an interview published August 12, 2026, Cooke described the challenge of selling alcohol through wholesale and retail channels, saying that the process could be “timely and resource intensive.” Bravo also reported efforts to generate revenue through merchandise. The available accounts describe pressures and responses, but do not provide enough financial detail to determine which factors drove the losses or how much each contributed.
How the reported financial situation changed
The figures below come from different episodes and dates. Losses, payroll runway, cash estimates and debt are not interchangeable, and none of these statements is an audited company balance sheet.

Was Loverboy close to bankruptcy?
Bravo coverage described a serious cash squeeze, and Cooke used language indicating the company had limited time based on its cash reserves. The reporting also cited personal funds used to meet payroll, a stopped paycheck and a personally guaranteed loan. That supports describing the situation as financially precarious, but the sources do not establish that Loverboy filed for bankruptcy or provide company records showing a formal insolvency determination.
The June 2026 comments about cash lasting until year-end and talks with potential partners were a snapshot from that episode. They do not confirm that a deal closed or show how the company’s cash position changed afterward.

Is Loverboy still in business?
Bravo’s later 2026 coverage said Loverboy remained active, with products being relaunched and sales reportedly improving enough to help keep the business operating. The brand is associated with alcoholic canned spritzes and sparkling hard tea; coverage named Flirty Shirley as well as limoncello and espresso martini spritzes. An operating update and product release show activity, not proof that the company is financially secure today.
