What the “57 posts” announcement refers to
Scroll’s January 15, 2025 announcement said Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, had opened applications for non-teaching recruitment and gave January 31, 2025 as the deadline. Its report described the drive as 57 posts. Because that deadline is in the past, the headline is not a current recruitment notice.
The “direct link” wording refers to the historical announcement. It does not establish that the application form remains available or that candidates can still apply. Start with the institute’s notices page and read the individual notice and any corrigendum before acting.
Why the official notice says 56 vacancies
A later KSSSCI Advertisement No. KSSSCI/CMS/77/1-8/2025-26 describes direct recruitment for 56 non-teaching vacancies through a computer-based examination. The notice lists eight post categories:

The counts belong to different sources and notices: Scroll reported 57 in its January 2025 story, while the later official 2025-26 advertisement specifies 56. The reviewed sources do not explain the difference, so they should not be combined or treated as counts for an identical revision. The official advertisement can be read here.
How to verify whether KSSSCI is recruiting now
- Open the KSSSCI notices page.
- Find the specific recruitment notice and confirm its publication date, post names, application dates and status.
- Check for a corrigendum, deadline extension, admit-card notice or result notice associated with that recruitment. Do not assume an older application window has reopened because a link still appears online.
- Use the application instructions linked from the relevant notice. The institute’s recruitment instructions describe online applications through its website; those instructions relate to the specified notice and do not show that applications are currently open.
The notices page lists the 2025 non-teaching CBT application form on January 19, 2026, and an extension notice on February 18, 2026, as well as later notices and results. What the application instructions say
For the 2025-26 advertisement, KSSSCI describes an online application followed by a computer-based examination. Its detailed instructions tell candidates to apply through the official website, use a valid email address and mobile number, and prepare scanned documents. These are process details for that advertisement, not evidence of a new or currently open application period. Follow the notice tied to the vacancy you are applying for, since requirements can differ between recruitment cycles.
