Kristin Cavallari’s Franklin, Tennessee-area estate reportedly sold for $7.5 million in early April 2025. The widely cited $8.9 million figure was the home’s reduced asking price—not its reported sale price. TMZ and Us Weekly reported the closing figure on April 14, 2025; neither report is a deed or closing statement.
How much did Kristin Cavallari sell her home for?
The reported sale price was $7.5 million. TMZ attributed the figure to sources familiar with the sale, while Us Weekly also reported that amount. The property was in Franklin, Tennessee, in the Nashville area—not Nashville proper.
The $8.9 million figure refers to the reduced listing price. Us Weekly reported that the estate was initially listed for $11 million in June 2024, then priced at $9.95 million in August 2024 and about $8.9 million in January 2025. TMZ described the reduced asking price as about $8.99 million when reporting that the home was under contract and later sold.
| Price stage | Reported amount | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| June 2024 listing | $11 million (Us Weekly) | Initial reported asking price |
| August 2024 listing | $9.95 million (Us Weekly) | Reported asking price after a reduction |
| January 2025 listing | About $8.9 million (Us Weekly); about $8.99 million (TMZ) | Reduced asking price; the reports differ slightly in rounding |
| Early April 2025 sale | $7.5 million (TMZ and Us Weekly) | Reported completed sale price |
These are outlet-reported figures, not independently verified transaction records. TMZ’s April 14, 2025 report cited sources familiar with the sale, and Us Weekly also reported the sale price that day.

What was the Franklin estate like?
Coverage described the property as a 28-acre estate with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Reported features included a barn, guest house, swimming pool, greenhouse, beehives and a basement described as a wellness retreat. Those details come from the outlets’ property coverage; they should not be read as an independently verified inventory of what transferred in the sale.
The outlets also gave slightly different living-area figures: Us Weekly reported 6,788 square feet, while TMZ reported 6,799 square feet. The available reports do not resolve the discrepancy.

What renovations did Cavallari make?
TMZ reported that Cavallari spent 18 months renovating the home after moving in. In remarks quoted in its April 14, 2025 sale story, she said: “I did a lot of work. I completely gutted the kitchen, finished the basement, redid a lot of the bathrooms and added on to my closet.”
Us Weekly separately reproduced comments it attributed to a 2022 interview with My Domaine. Cavallari said the home was the first she had lived in that was “exactly what I wanted aesthetically,” and that it was the first time she could truly say she loved her house.

Us Weekly reported that Cavallari bought the property in 2020 for about $3 million; TMZ described the purchase as just over $3 million. Subtracting that reported purchase price from the reported $7.5 million sale price gives a rough difference of $4.5 million. That is not established net profit: the available figures do not account for renovation spending, transaction costs, taxes, financing or other expenses.
