The advertised maximum can reach $300 per year only under specific two-line registration conditions; the usual limit is $150. Check Koodo’s live rules before making a referral, because the program terms may change.
What Koodo’s postpaid referral offer pays
Koodo’s rules page describes a $25 postpaid referral credit, delivered in five monthly instalments of $5. The first instalment is applied 4–8 weeks after the referred friend enters their new Koodo number; later instalments follow in subsequent months if both accounts remain eligible. Koodo’s help page also gives a 4–8 week application window.
That official amount does not substantiate the $50-per-referral figure in the headline wording. The pages consulted describe $25 for postpaid referrals. Verify the offer shown in Koodo’s referral system and its current terms before relying on a different amount.
How the $300 annual limit works
Koodo’s rules describe a $150 annual limit per subscriber. The FAQ says a second line can raise the limit to $300 when each line is registered separately for the program with its own Self Serve account and email address. The terms describe the maximum as applying per line and allow multiple lines, including up to seven lines on an account. These descriptions do not mean one registered line can earn $300; use the current postpaid terms for the conditions that apply to your account.

Who can use the postpaid program
The referrer must be a current Koodo customer with an active, non-suspended consumer postpaid account in good standing. The referred person must be a new Koodo Mobile customer and claim the referral before activating service. Both accounts must remain active and eligible when credits are applied, and the new customer must keep service active for 90 days after activation. If they cancel within that period, Koodo says it can charge back credits to both accounts.
Prepaid, tablet, Wireless Home Phone and Koodo Internet activations are not eligible for the postpaid program. The program terms also exclude existing customers as referred new customers.

How to refer a friend
- The referrer signs in to Koodo’s referral system using Self Serve credentials and sends an offer to a friend or family member.
- Before activating Koodo service, the friend opens the referral offer and enters their name and email address.
- The friend buys a phone or SIM card if needed, activates an eligible Koodo plan, then returns to the referral system and enters their new Koodo phone number.
- Both customers keep eligible service active while the credits are being applied. Koodo says credits can take 4–8 weeks to appear.
Koodo’s help page describes buying a phone or SIM as part of the possible activation process; it does not say that purchasing a new phone is required.

Koodo’s prepaid referral page describes a separate reward: $5 to each participant at activation, followed by additional monthly $5 credits for up to five months, with a maximum of $75 per year. These prepaid rewards and limits should not be combined with the postpaid $25 referral credit or its annual cap. See Koodo’s prepaid Refer-a-Friend page for that program’s conditions.
