Its recruitment portal listed applications from 25 April 2025, fee payment through 25 May 2025 and submission through 31 May 2025 for regular Nursing Officer appointments in Lucknow. How many vacancies were listed?
The reported total depends on the source and scope. Scroll’s 14 May 2025 report described the drive as 733 posts. KGMU’s detailed page lists 626 posts by category. The pages reviewed do not explain the 107-post difference, so the totals cannot be reconciled from those listings alone.

What qualifications did KGMU require?
KGMU’s detailed listing gives two qualification routes. The diploma route has an additional experience condition; the B.Sc. route does not list that condition.
B.Sc. Nursing route
- B.Sc. Nursing, or the specified Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing qualification.
- Registration as a Nurse and Midwife.
General Nursing and Midwifery diploma route
- A diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
- Registration as a Nurse and Midwife.
- Two years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds.

What was the application fee?
KGMU’s detailed page lists an application fee of ₹2,360 for UR and OBC applicants and ₹1,416 for SC and ST applicants. Scroll also reports ₹2,360 for EWS applicants, but KGMU’s visible fee table does not separately label EWS; that EWS amount is therefore attributed to Scroll’s report.
