Cisco Partner Summit 2025 put a clear emphasis on one idea: Cisco sees the AI opportunity as a need for secure, resilient infrastructure and partner expertise—not just new software. The summit’s announcements covered networking, data-center and edge infrastructure, security, operations tools, and a partner-program overhaul. Cisco later confirmed that the Cisco 360 Partner Program launched on January 26, 2026.

What was Cisco’s main message at Partner Summit 2025?

Cisco tied AI adoption to the networks and security needed to support it. CEO and Chair Chuck Robbins said, “There is no AI without a network, and no AI without a secure network.” President and Chief Product Officer Jeetu Patel identified three customer priorities: AI-ready data centers, future-proofed workplaces, and digitally resilient infrastructure. These statements describe Cisco’s strategic framing, not independent validation of the market opportunity.

Cisco also used its 2025 AI Readiness Index to report that 28% of organizations believe their infrastructure can handle AI workloads. That is the index’s reported result, as cited by Cisco in its November 6, 2025 summit recap; it should not be read as an independently verified measure.

What products and capabilities did Cisco highlight?

Cisco’s summit recap presented examples across infrastructure, security, and operations. The product descriptions below reflect Cisco’s announcements; they are not independent performance tests.

In a November 4, 2025 partner blog, Cisco SVP of Global Partner Sales Tim Coogan also discussed edge-computing workloads in retail, manufacturing, and branch offices, as well as an AI Infrastructure Specialist Certification within the CCNP Data Center track. The announcements indicate the breadth of Cisco’s portfolio pitch; they do not establish which product or configuration is right for a particular organization.

What changed with the Cisco 360 Partner Program?

At the summit, Cisco presented Cisco 360 as a way to organize partner incentives, expertise, training, and customer resources. Coogan said: “The Cisco 360 Partner Program serves the agile partner ecosystem that reacts and adapts quickly, innovates continuously, and scales efficiently through platform and ecosystem effects.” Cisco described improved partner profitability and customer value as intended outcomes.

What Cisco confirmed after the summit

Cisco announced that the program launched on January 26, 2026. Its launch description included registered, Portfolio, and Preferred partner designations; a Partner Locator covering security, networking, collaboration, services, Splunk, and cloud and AI infrastructure; Partner Value Indexes; a Distributor Development Fund; and the Cisco Partner Incentive (CPI).

Cisco’s January 2026 release said temporary CPI bonuses would expire at the end of July 2026. That date has passed. The summit-era bonus announcements should not be treated as currently available: partners need to check Cisco’s current program terms for eligibility and active incentives.

Why did Cisco frame the opportunity around partners?

Cisco presented partners as part of the route from infrastructure investment to implementation, security, adoption, and ongoing service. Coogan described lifecycle value creation, managed services, software adoption, and helping customers understand the capabilities of Cisco’s wider ecosystem as parts of that role.

Cisco cited several figures to explain the scale it sees in the opportunity. They are company claims, not independently established market forecasts in the sources cited here:

  • Tim Coogan said 90% of Cisco revenue comes through partners.
  • Coogan cited a projection of a $267 billion partner-delivered AI services market by 2030.
  • Robbins cited a $40 billion campus and branch data-center refresh opportunity and $240 billion of partner opportunity around it.

These figures appeared in Cisco’s November 2025 summit materials. Their value is in showing how Cisco positions its channel strategy; they should not be treated as a neutral estimate of what any individual partner can earn.

What should customers and partners take from the announcements?

For customers evaluating Cisco projects

  • Ask how a proposed AI deployment will be supported by network capacity, security, resilience, and operations—not only by the AI application.
  • Request configuration-specific performance, compatibility, licensing, and support details. Cisco’s summit recap is not a substitute for technical validation or hands-on testing.
  • For a data-center or edge project, evaluate the full solution and implementation needs. Cisco’s named examples span routers, switches, compute, storage, security, and software.

For Cisco partners

  • Compare program designation and specialization requirements with the expertise and customer lifecycle services your business can deliver.
  • Check current incentive rules and eligibility directly with Cisco; temporary bonuses described in the January 2026 launch announcement were due to expire in July 2026.
  • Assess the practical value of training, demos, marketing resources, managed-service capabilities, and software adoption support alongside incentive terms.

How to interpret the summit’s announcements

The summit is most useful as a guide to Cisco’s priorities: secure AI infrastructure, modernization from data center to edge, operational resilience, and a partner ecosystem expected to help customers deploy and manage those capabilities. Its statistics and product performance descriptions should be understood as Cisco’s own claims, while program details—especially incentive availability—can change and require current confirmation.
