The November 17, 2025 announcement covers Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles—not all used Fords—and leaves vehicle inventory, pricing, pickup and follow-up with the participating dealership. It is a new sales channel, not evidence that Ford’s used-car sales have already increased.
What Ford and Amazon announced
Ford said participating dealers could list Ford Blue Advantage CPO vehicles on Amazon Autos. Shoppers can browse local listings, choose a payment route, complete purchase steps online and collect the vehicle from the dealer. Amazon provides the marketplace; it does not take ownership of the cars or deliver them. Ford’s announcement and Amazon’s announcement describe the launch.
The headline’s reference to “used cars” is broader than the announced offer. The vehicles in this rollout are Ford Blue Advantage-certified pre-owned Fords, with certification tiers and protections that differ from an ordinary used-car listing.
Where shoppers can find the vehicles
Ford named Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas as the initial markets, with more planned. That launch announcement is not a current availability map: Amazon says listings depend on participating inventory within 75 miles of a shopper. Enter a location on Amazon’s Autos explainer or check the live marketplace to see what is available nearby.

How buying through Amazon Autos works
- Browse local listings. Choose a Ford CPO vehicle and review its itemized price, specifications, vehicle-history details and available service-history or condition information.
- Select a payment route. Amazon describes options to finance, lease or pay in full. Financing and paperwork may be handled online, depending on the listing and transaction.
- Complete the online steps. Review the terms and the vehicle-specific details before submitting or signing anything. The participating dealer controls the inventory and price; check the listing for applicable charges and financing terms.
- Arrange dealership pickup. The vehicle is collected at the dealership, not delivered by Amazon. The dealer remains involved after the sale for pickup and the ongoing customer relationship.
Amazon’s purchase-process page and dealer FAQ explain the marketplace roles. “Online purchase” therefore means that much of the transaction can happen digitally; it does not remove the dealership from the sale.
Ford Blue Advantage tiers and stated protections
Amazon’s November 17, 2025 launch announcement described three Ford Blue Advantage tiers. The inspection counts and warranty terms below are company-published program descriptions, not independent assessments of a vehicle’s condition. Warranty limits apply by time or mileage, whichever comes first.

| Tier | Inspection | Limited warranty described in the announcement |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Certified | 172-point inspection | 12 months or 12,000 miles |
| EV Certified | 127-point inspection | 12 months or 12,000 miles, described as comprehensive |
| Blue Certified | Inspection count not stated in the announcement | 90 days or 4,000 miles |
The announcement says each tier includes roadside assistance and that Ford CPO vehicles sold by Ford dealers on Amazon Autos carry a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee, whichever comes first. Treat these as the terms stated at launch: confirm the specific vehicle listing and current Ford program terms before relying on coverage or a return window.

- Certification tier and coverage: Check which tier applies, what the warranty covers, when it begins and any exclusions or claim requirements in the current terms.
- Price and fees: Compare itemized prices and charges across dealers, and review the financing offer’s terms rather than judging affordability by a monthly payment alone.
- Vehicle and history: Weigh age, mileage, condition, vehicle-history information and any service-history details shown in the listing.
- Availability and pickup: Inventory is local and dealer-controlled. Confirm the car is still available and that the pickup location and timing work for you.
- Financing alternatives: Review the available offer alongside other financing options you may have; the marketplace’s online process does not itself establish that a particular loan is the lowest-cost choice.
Amazon said the launch offered “thousands” of Ford CPO vehicles. That is the company’s description of its offering, not independent evidence of vehicle quality or a measured sales increase. Neither the Ford nor Amazon launch announcement establishes that the partnership has already boosted Ford’s used-car sales.
