Kelechi Onyeama’s Social Wizard: What the $60K-a-Month Claim Means

Social Wizard suggests replies to chats and screenshots. Here’s what is known about Kelechi Onyeama’s reported $60,000-a-month milestone—and how it differs from later portfolio figures.

Social Wizard is a mobile app that suggests replies to chat screenshots or typed conversations. TechBullion and Digital Journal reported in February 2025 that it was making about $60,000 a month, but that figure is a media-reported historical claim—not audited revenue or a verified current run rate. Onyeama’s later website reports more than $800,000 in cumulative Social Wizard revenue and $254,000 a month across his apps collectively; those are separate, self-reported figures with different scopes.

What Social Wizard does

Social Wizard is designed for the moment a user is unsure what to say: “what should I reply?” Its store descriptions say users can upload a screenshot of a chat or type a conversation, choose one of ten tonalities, and receive reply suggestions. The app also offers photo-based conversation starters and help with awkward social situations.

The US Apple listing calls the app “Social Wizard – up ur game,” names Kelechi Onyeama as its developer, and lists it as a free download with in-app purchases and a 13+ age rating. Apple’s description says users get three days free before an optional subscription, and displays multiple purchase options rather than one universal price. Google Play describes similar features and identifies Odanta LLC as publisher. Store descriptions and offers can vary by platform, region, and date; Apple says its developer-submitted privacy disclosures are not verified by Apple. Apple App Store listing · Google Play listing

The store snapshots accessed October 8, 2026, are not directly interchangeable: Apple showed 6,700 ratings and 4.8 stars, while Google Play showed 100,000+ downloads, 4.7 stars, and 2,920 reviews. Those are platform-specific, changeable listing figures, not independent measures of business performance.

How Onyeama arrived at the idea

Digital Journal’s February 3, 2025 account traces the idea to Onyeama’s own difficulty knowing what to say in online conversations. It says the idea developed while he was working on Caspade, an earlier social platform, and that an interaction helped prompt him to build a personal communication aid. TechBullion’s February 6, 2025 coverage says he showed the app to friends before recognizing broader interest. These accounts describe a founder narrative, not a market survey demonstrating how common the problem is.

Digital Journal quoted Onyeama describing the intended role of the product: “The goal isn’t to replace conversations—it’s to help people communicate more naturally.” That is the founder’s stated aim, not evidence that the app improves communication skills or that users will rely on it less over time. No controlled product evaluation or validated prevalence study is established by the cited coverage.

How the app reportedly found users

TechBullion says recommendations and creator demonstrations on TikTok and Instagram Reels helped expose Social Wizard. Digital Journal also describes recommendations and social-media sharing; the later AI Dev Cases summary says Onyeama posted daily before expanding creator content. Together, these reports suggest a distribution approach built around demonstrating the app in social feeds, where its use case can be shown quickly.

They do not establish that TikTok, Instagram Reels, or any single creator campaign caused the reported revenue milestone. What the $60,000-a-month number does—and does not—mean

The headline figure is a reported monthly amount, not a disclosed financial statement. TechBullion reported that Social Wizard generated more than $60,000 a month, alongside more than 500,000 downloads and more than $500,000 in revenue. Digital Journal described $60,000 in monthly recurring revenue, more than 500,000 downloads, more than 30 million generated responses, and more than $500,000 in revenue since launch. Both reports appeared in February 2025. Neither provides audited accounts or payment records, so readers should treat the figures as media-reported claims rather than verified results.

On his website, accessed October 8, 2026, Onyeama reports Social Wizard at 700,000+ downloads, 4.8 stars, 6,600+ US ratings, and $800,000+ cumulative revenue. The same site says his apps collectively make $254,000 per month. That portfolio-wide monthly figure is not Social Wizard’s monthly revenue, and the site does not publish a methodology or audited financial statements. Kelechi Onyeama’s website

Claim What it covers Source and qualification
About $60,000 a month Social Wizard monthly revenue; Digital Journal calls it monthly recurring revenue Reported by Digital Journal on February 3, 2025, and TechBullion on February 6, 2025; not audited
$500,000+ revenue; 500,000+ downloads Social Wizard cumulative revenue and downloads as reported in early 2025 TechBullion, February 6, 2025; media-reported
30 million+ generated responses; $500,000+ revenue; 500,000+ downloads Social Wizard responses generated, revenue since launch, and downloads Digital Journal, February 3, 2025; media-reported
$800,000+ revenue; 700,000+ downloads Social Wizard cumulative revenue and downloads Onyeama’s website, accessed October 8, 2026; self-reported, method not disclosed
$254,000 per month Onyeama’s apps collectively, not Social Wizard alone Onyeama’s website, accessed October 8, 2026; self-reported, method not disclosed

The measurements have different dates, scopes, and sources: monthly revenue is not the same metric as cumulative revenue, and an app’s figures are not the same as a founder’s combined portfolio. A later cumulative total does not verify a prior monthly run rate.

What the founder’s later timeline adds

The September 2026 AI Dev Cases synthesis describes founder-post milestones of $3,500 in monthly recurring revenue after finding a working channel, $25,000 a month later, and $40,000 two months after that. It presents these as a secondary reconstruction of founder posts and notes discrepancies among secondary accounts. The sequence offers context for how the business was said to grow, but it is not independent financial verification and should not be read as a complete revenue history.

What this story can tell a reader about app income

Social Wizard illustrates a plausible path from a narrow personal frustration to a product that can be demonstrated in a short video: identify a recurring moment of uncertainty, make a tool that addresses it, and show the use case to potential users. But the public record described here is not enough to calculate profit, establish customer-acquisition cost, determine subscription retention, or verify how much of reported revenue remained after fees and expenses. Downloads, ratings, generated replies, monthly revenue claims, and cumulative revenue answer different questions; none alone establishes a small app’s profitability.

The available monetization evidence is limited to store listings that describe in-app purchases and, on Apple’s US listing, a three-day free period followed by an optional subscription. Multiple purchase options appear, so there is no single universal price to infer. The reported business figures do not disclose a breakdown between subscriptions, other purchases, gross receipts, platform fees, refunds, or operating costs.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
