These are operating-update figures, not audited quarterly financial results. The reported 2% share gain cannot be independently confirmed from the available price snapshot.
What did Kalyan Jewellers report for Q2 FY27?
Same-day coverage by EquityBulls and Sahi Markets said consolidated revenue grew more than 26% year on year in the quarter ended September 30, 2026. EquityBulls reported the metrics as subject to statutory audit limited review procedures. A company-hosted Q2 FY27 update and a formal reviewed quarterly results filing were not available in the sources reviewed, so the figures should be treated as reported business-update metrics rather than final financial results.

What does 20% same-store sales growth mean?
SSSG compares sales at stores included in the comparable-store base across two periods. A reported India SSSG of approximately 20% indicates higher sales at those comparable stores; it is not the same measure as total company revenue growth, which can also reflect new locations and other parts of the business. The update does not provide enough detail here to infer how much of the change came from customer numbers, average transaction values, product mix or prices.
How does Q2 FY27 compare with the prior-year quarter?
Kalyan Jewellers’ official Q2 FY26 update reported approximately 30% consolidated revenue growth, 31% India revenue growth, 16% India SSSG, 17% international revenue growth and 127% Candere growth. The company counted 436 showrooms at September 30, 2025. Its November 2025 investor presentation gives Q2 FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹78,560 million and India revenue of ₹68,428 million, and reports South and non-South SSSG of 14% and 17%, respectively, with studded products at approximately 31% of revenue (Kalyan Jewellers investor disclosures).

The current-quarter reports describe Q2 FY26 as a high comparison base because all nine days of Navratri fell within that quarter; the company’s Q2 FY26 update also noted that Navratri sales were not part of the prior-year base quarter. The reported year-on-year growth rates were therefore lower in Q2 FY27 for consolidated revenue, India revenue and Candere, while India SSSG and international growth were higher. The reported rates alone do not establish why any individual measure changed.
What else was included in the business update?
- Reports said 12 Kalyan showrooms opened in India, including 11 net additions; nine Candere showrooms opened in India; and one Kalyan showroom opened in the United Kingdom.
- The reported global showroom count was 546 as of September 30, 2026.
- EquityBulls said non-Gold Metal Loan debt was reduced to zero. This, too, is a reported update figure pending review.
- EquityBulls also reported that the Akshaya Thanga Maligai brand launched in Chennai in August 2026, with four additional franchise showrooms planned for FY27.
Store openings and debt figures provide operating context, but they do not by themselves establish future growth, profitability or shareholder returns.

Why did Kalyan Jewellers shares rise 2%?
The headline claim of a 2% gain is not reconciled by the price information available. An EquityBulls BSE snapshot displayed ₹548 against a previous close of ₹557—figures that do not show a 2% rise if they refer to the same session and comparison basis. The snapshot’s time is not established, and it may differ from the observation behind the reported headline. Without a dated exchange quote and an explicit time window, the gain should not be treated as independently confirmed.
Nor does the available information establish that the reported business update caused a share-price move. A price change and a company announcement occurring around the same time are not, on their own, proof of cause.
