The promotion and the route are historical: the announced service ran only from 25 June to 26 October 2024, and Jetstar Asia ceased operations on 31 July 2025.
What Jetstar announced in March 2024
Jetstar Asia planned to fly directly between Singapore Changi Airport and Broome, Western Australia, twice weekly during a seasonal schedule from 25 June through 26 October 2024. The Government of Western Australia described the aircraft as an Airbus A320 and said the direct service would cut travel time between the destinations by more than eight hours compared with the alternative journey it referenced. That travel-time comparison was the government’s claim, not a guarantee for every itinerary.
The government also estimated almost 6,500 inbound seats to Broome during the service’s first year. Jetstar separately forecast close to 13,000 low-fare seats each year. Both figures were estimates made at launch, not confirmed counts of passengers or seats ultimately flown.
How the $145 launch fare worked
The headline AU$145 price applied to a one-way flight from Broome to Singapore. For the opposite direction, Jetstar advertised fares from SG$125 one way from Singapore to Broome. The fares were part of a launch sale scheduled for 28 March through 2 April 2024, unless sold out, and were subject to travel terms. They are not current prices or evidence of what a comparable trip costs today.

The two fares were quoted in different currencies and for opposite directions. The announcement does not establish that either fare was available on every date, included every optional extra, or represented a return-trip price.
Why the route is not a current Jetstar Asia option
Jetstar announced that Jetstar Asia’s final day of operations would be 31 July 2025, with flights progressively reduced before closure. ABC reported that flights between Broome and Singapore would cease following the announcement. The 2024 fare and timetable therefore should not be used to plan a present-day booking.

The available reports do not establish whether another airline has since restored a direct Broome–Singapore service, nor do they provide a current fare. Check airline booking sites or a reliable flight schedule for the dates you intend to travel. When comparing options, distinguish direct flights from connecting itineraries and compare total journey time, dates, fare rules, and baggage conditions.

At the time, the seasonal route offered a direct link between Singapore and Broome, which Western Australia presented as a gateway to the Kimberley. Jetstar’s launch announcement highlighted Cable Beach, the dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point, and whale watching as attractions. Those were destination highlights in the airline’s promotional release, not guarantees about seasonal availability or the conditions for any particular visit.
