The JetBlue route cuts in this headline refer to network changes reported on December 5, 2024—not a current list of routes available in October 2026. That report named several New York-area cuts, including service to Austin, Houston, Miami, and Milwaukee, along with other route and seasonal changes. Because schedules have changed since then and the report did not give an effective date for every adjustment, check JetBlue’s current schedule for your travel date before making plans.
Which JetBlue routes were affected in the December 2024 report?
Travel + Leisure reported on December 5, 2024, that JetBlue was cutting or changing a dozen flights. Its list included discontinued service, flights that would not return, and routes moving to seasonal schedules; these were not all the same kind of change.
New York-area routes and service changes
- New York to Austin, Houston, Miami, and Milwaukee: the report listed these routes among the cuts.
- New York to London Gatwick: JetBlue would not resume the service after having previously cut it.
- New York to Tulum: the report described the route as becoming winter seasonal.
- New York to Paris: JetBlue would continue one daily flight rather than restore a second daily summer seasonal flight.
Other routes in the report
- JetBlue would end service to San Jose, California.
- Westchester–Charleston and Jacksonville–Fort Lauderdale flights were also listed as ending.
- Boston–Phoenix and Boston–Grenada were described as becoming winter seasonal routes.
The December report did not provide a complete route-by-route effective-date table, so it does not establish when every adjustment took effect.
Is JetBlue still flying from New York to Miami?
The December 2024 report listed New York–Miami among the cuts, but that historical report cannot establish whether a JetBlue flight is available for a particular date in October 2026. Airline schedules can change after an announcement. Search JetBlue for your origin, destination, and exact travel date, and review your reservation for any cancellation or rebooking notice.

Why did JetBlue say it was changing routes?
JetBlue attributed the adjustments to its JetForward strategic plan. In a statement quoted by Travel + Leisure on December 5, 2024, the airline said it was removing “some underperforming flying” so it could redeploy resources, including Mint service, toward high-demand markets and new opportunities. That is the airline’s stated rationale, not an independently verified profitability assessment.
What has changed since the 2024 report?
AeroRoutes reported on July 21, 2026, that JetBlue had seven additional route cancellations scheduled for September or October 2026 and that Boston–Amsterdam was changing to a summer seasonal route. Those later schedule changes show why the 2024 list should not be treated as a live route inventory; they do not confirm the present status of each route in the earlier report.

How to check a JetBlue itinerary affected by a route change
- Search JetBlue’s booking schedule for your exact origin, destination, and travel date. A route’s historical listing is not proof that a flight operates on the date you need.
- If you already have a ticket, check the reservation for schedule-change, cancellation, or rebooking notices.
- If the itinerary has changed, contact JetBlue through its official customer-service channels to confirm your available options before arranging replacement travel.
