JEE Advanced 2025 registration opened on 23 April and closed on 2 May 2025; the fee deadline was 5 May. The exam took place on 18 May 2025, so these dates are past and are not an active application window.
JEE Advanced 2025 registration and fee deadlines
The official information brochure set the online registration period and fee-payment deadline as follows:
| Event | 2025 deadline |
|---|---|
| Online registration opened | 23 April 2025 at 10:00 IST |
| Online registration closed | 2 May 2025 at 17:00 IST |
| Fee payment for registered candidates closed | 5 May 2025 at 17:00 IST |
The fee deadline applied to candidates who had registered; it did not extend the registration period. The dates and times are stated in the JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure.

Eligibility and registration requirements
Registration was online. The brochure warns that a candidate’s registration could be cancelled if the candidate did not meet the eligibility criteria. Because eligibility depends on the complete criteria and an individual’s circumstances, check the official brochure rather than relying on the schedule alone; the dates do not determine an individual’s eligibility.
How many candidates registered, appeared and qualified?
The figures refer to different stages of the examination and should not be treated as conflicting counts:
- 187,223 registered: IIT Kanpur’s exam announcement reported this number of registered candidates.
- 180,422 appeared in both papers: IIT Kanpur reported this figure on its official results page.
- 54,378 qualified: the same results announcement reported this number of qualified candidates.
The registration total is not the number who appeared in both papers, and neither figure is the number who qualified. The appearance and qualification counts are in JEE Advanced 2025’s official results announcement.
