The notice required Class 10 and a relevant NSQF Level 1 course; it also set out physical tests, a written examination, document verification and medical examination as selection stages. This is a historical recruitment notice, not an open application opportunity.
What the 2024 ITBP notice offered
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) advertised 819 positions for Constable (Kitchen Services). The notice described the vacancies as tentative and said they could change.

The gender and category figures are separate breakdowns of the advertised vacancies, not additional posts. The position was Group C, non-gazetted and non-ministerial, on a temporary basis likely to become permanent. The notice specified Pay Level 3, with a 7th Central Pay Commission pay scale of ₹21,700–₹69,100, and said selected candidates could be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad. When applications closed
The application period ran from September 2, 2024, at 00:01 to October 1, 2024, at 23:59. The notice stated: “ONLINE APPLICATION MODE WILL BE OPENED W.E.F. 2nd SEPTEMBER, 2024 (02/09/2024) AT 00:01 A.M. AND WILL BE CLOSED ON 1ST OCTOBER, 2024 (01/10/2024) AT 11:59 P.M.” That deadline has passed; applications cannot be made through this 2024 window. Scroll and Hindustan Times also reported October 1, 2024, as the deadline in contemporaneous coverage (Scroll; Hindustan Times).

Basic eligibility stated in the notice
Education and training
- Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognized board.
- An NSQF Level 1 course in food production or kitchen from NSDC or an NSDC-recognized institute.
The course requirement is separate from preparation for the written recruitment examination: exam study materials do not replace the specified qualification.
Age
The baseline age range was 18 to 25 years. The notice refers candidates to the full advertisement for age relaxations and detailed eligibility conditions, so the baseline range alone does not establish an individual applicant’s eligibility.

Fee and selection stages
Application fee
The fee was ₹100. Female applicants, ex-servicemen and SC/ST candidates were exempt. Scroll’s October 1, 2024 report said male UR, OBC and EWS applicants had to pay the fee.
