As checked on August 18, 2026, Realtor.com does not appear to be experiencing a confirmed widespread outage. UpDownRadar reported no general issues and an HTTP 200 response from the Realtor.com website. That confirms the public site was reachable at the time of the check—not that every mobile-app feature, login service, saved home, alert, photo, map, or regional listing feed was working.
If the app is failing, first open realtor.com in a browser, try a basic search, open a listing, and switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data. Those tests usually show whether the problem is platform-wide, network-specific, account-related, or limited to the app.

Is Realtor.com down for everyone or just you?
A reachable website does not prove that the app is healthy. Realtor.com’s search, authentication, saved homes, alerts, images, maps, and listing feeds may rely on separate services. A failure in one of those systems can affect some users while the homepage continues to load.
The current third-party snapshot from UpDownRadar showed Realtor.com as up, with no general issues and an HTTP 200 response. Treat that as a time-specific signal, not an official outage declaration or a guarantee that every region and app function is operating normally.

Fast outage check
- Open realtor.com in a mobile or desktop browser.
- Run a basic search for a city or ZIP code.
- Open a listing and check whether photos load.
- Try the Realtor.com login page if saved homes or alerts are affected.
- Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular data, or from cellular data to Wi-Fi.
- Check an outage-monitoring page and ask someone on another network to test the service.
A widespread outage becomes more likely when the app and website fail on several devices and networks, login fails in both places, multiple independent users report the same problem, and several unrelated Realtor.com features stop working. A local problem is more likely when only one phone, network, listing, ZIP code, or account is affected.
Identify what is actually failing
| Symptom | What it may indicate |
|---|---|
| The app will not open, crashes, or freezes | A buggy release, corrupted temporary data, low storage, device software issue, or a service problem. |
| Search does not load | Network trouble, filters, regional listing-feed problems, stale app data, or a wider service issue. |
| Photos or videos are blank | Image-delivery or content-loading trouble, even if search text works. |
| Maps or location search fail | Location permissions, network restrictions, map-service trouble, or an app problem. |
| Login loops or rejects valid credentials | Expired sessions, authentication-service trouble, browser cookies, VPN interference, or use of the wrong sign-in method. |
| Saved homes, collections, or alerts are missing | An account-sync problem or incorrect account, not necessarily a full outage. |
| The app works on Wi-Fi but not cellular data | Mobile-data permissions, carrier restrictions, VPN settings, or cellular connectivity. |
| The website works but the app fails | An app version, local cache, device, or mobile-network issue is more likely. |
Fix the Realtor.com app, from least disruptive to most disruptive
1. Force-close and reopen it
Fully close Realtor.com, reopen it, and retry the same action. If it remains frozen, restart the phone or tablet before changing account settings.
2. Check the connection
- Toggle Wi-Fi off and on.
- Try cellular data, or switch back to Wi-Fi.
- Confirm airplane mode is off.
- Temporarily disable a VPN, private relay, content filter, or restrictive firewall.
- Check whether unrelated websites and apps work.
3. Update the app
The app is actively maintained, but app-store captures have shown differing 2026 version numbers. Do not rely on a fixed version number; install whatever update your store currently offers.
Android: Open Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Manage apps & device → under Updates available, update Realtor.com or choose Update all. Google also recommends checking for Android system updates and restarting the device when an app crashes or stops responding. See Google’s update instructions.

iPhone or iPad: Open the App Store → tap your account/profile icon → check available updates → update Realtor.com if offered. The official listing is Realtor.com Real Estate & Rent. Do not assume a particular minimum iOS version without checking the live listing.
4. Clear Android cache
On most Android phones, go to Settings → Apps or Apps & notifications → Realtor.com → Storage & cache → Clear cache. Menu names vary by manufacturer. Clearing cache removes temporary files and is safer than clearing storage.
Do not clear storage or data as an early step. That may sign you out and remove locally stored settings. Also avoid clearing Google Play Services unless directed by appropriate support; Google warns that doing so can remove device-stored information and require reauthentication.

5. Check storage and system updates
Low device storage can interfere with updates and installation. Google identifies less than 1 GB of available Android storage as a possible warning condition for downloads. Free space if necessary, then update the operating system and retry.

6. Reinstall only after confirming account access
Before deleting the app, sign in through the browser at realtor.com/myaccount/signin. Confirm that you know the correct password or original Google, Apple, Facebook, or email sign-in method.
Reinstalling may sign you out and remove unsynchronized local preferences. Saved homes should normally return when synchronized to the same account, but data that was never synchronized cannot be guaranteed. Avoid accidentally creating a second account through a different sign-in provider. Android users can follow Google’s reinstallation instructions.
Fix login and missing saved homes
- Try the web login page before changing anything in the app.
- Use the same sign-in method originally used—email, Google, Apple, or Facebook.
- If the browser works, check whether saved homes and collections appear there.
- Temporarily disable a VPN, ad blocker, or restrictive privacy tool that may interfere with authentication.
- Reset the password only when you are confident the credentials are the problem.
- Do not create a new account while troubleshooting.
- Take screenshots of missing collections or alerts before reinstalling.
If public searches work but saved content remains absent in both the app and browser, the issue may be account synchronization rather than a general outage. Contact Realtor.com with the account details and evidence, but never send a password or authentication code.

One missing listing or incomplete property page does not prove that Realtor.com is down. A single market may have a delayed feed, a listing may contain incomplete source data, or an image service may be failing separately.

Try searching another city or ZIP code, removing filters, switching between list and map views, opening another listing, and viewing the same property in a browser. If a property’s status or price matters to a purchase, rental, showing, or offer deadline, confirm it with the listing agent or brokerage before relying on the app.
If there is a real outage
Retry periodically rather than repeatedly resetting your password or deleting the app. Use the Realtor.com website as a temporary workaround, or contact a brokerage or listing agent directly for time-sensitive information. Other real-estate platforms may help, but their inventory, update timing, filters, estimates, and account synchronization may differ.
Preserve the exact error message, screenshots, and the time the failure began. If only one city or ZIP code is affected, record that location because it may indicate a regional listing-feed issue.
