The 2025 Acura RDX starts below the 2025 BMW X3 xDrive30 and Volvo XC60 B5 in the cited U.S. base-MSRP comparisons—but the available figures do not prove it is cheaper than every European rival. Acura lists the RDX at $44,700 before destination, versus $49,500 for the BMW and $47,100 for the Volvo. Comparable 2025 U.S. prices for the Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC are not established by the cited sources.
How much does the 2025 Acura RDX cost?
American Honda announced a $44,700 starting MSRP for the 2025 RDX before destination. Its $1,350 destination charge brings the base model to $46,050. Those are suggested prices, not dealer transaction prices; taxes, license, registration, premium paint and accessories are additional, and dealer prices may vary. American Honda’s 2025 RDX pricing announcement lists these figures and the package prices.

American Honda’s August 27, 2024 announcement gives the full range as $44,700–$54,450 before destination and $46,050–$55,800 with destination. The listed amounts exclude taxes, license, registration, premium paint and accessories; dealer prices may vary. These are 2025 model-year announced prices, not a current offer.
How does the RDX’s starting price compare with the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60?
On a base-MSRP-before-destination basis, the RDX is less expensive than the two European models for which the cited comparison material supplies figures:

Acura’s comparison pages list the model-to-model prices and state that the displayed prices exclude destination and other charges: RDX and BMW X3 comparison and RDX and Volvo XC60 comparison. BMW’s own U.S. launch release also gives the 2025 X3 30 xDrive a $49,500 base MSRP, plus $1,175 destination and handling: BMW Group PressClub USA.
Destination charges change the delivered-price comparison
The base MSRP figures above exclude destination, but the manufacturers’ charges differ. Acura announced $1,350 for the RDX; BMW announced $1,175 for the X3. Adding those amounts yields $46,050 for the base RDX and $50,675 for the X3 before taxes and other charges. The cited Volvo comparison does not establish a Volvo destination amount, so its delivered price cannot be calculated on the same basis from these sources.

Does the price advantage mean the RDX is a better value?
Not by itself. Price comparisons are most useful when the buyer also checks drivetrain, output, transmission and warranty. Acura’s manufacturer-published comparisons give the following specifications:

These figures are manufacturer-reported, and the rival specifications and warranty comparisons appear in Acura’s comparison materials: BMW comparison and Volvo comparison. Treat the specification and warranty data as published comparisons, not as independent test results. Which difference matters depends on the buyer’s priorities and the exact vehicle being priced.

Fuel economy is not a complete apples-to-apples comparison here
American Honda reports EPA fuel economy of 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined for the base RDX and most configurations. The A-Spec and A-Spec Advance versions are listed at 21/26/23 mpg. Acura cautions that actual mileage varies with driving and maintenance, conditions and other factors. The cited materials do not supply matched official rival figures for a full fuel-economy ranking, so these RDX numbers alone do not establish which SUV would cost less to fuel.

No—not on the evidence cited here. Acura’s competitive-comparison document identifies a 2024 Audi Q5 45 TFSI quattro, not a 2025 Q5. The available sources also do not establish an official 2025 U.S. Mercedes-Benz GLC price on a comparable basis. Without matched model-year prices and a consistent treatment of destination charges, a universal “cheaper than all” claim is not verified.

For a purchase decision, compare the exact model year and trim you intend to buy, use either base MSRP or prices including each vehicle’s destination charge, and obtain a local dealer quote. MSRP is a starting point, not a promise of the final price; incentives, taxes, fees and dealer pricing can affect what a buyer pays.
