The $20 offer for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office apps was a historical promotion, not a confirmed current price. A New Atlas sponsored deal report dated November 24, 2025, advertised Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 for Windows at $19.97 through December 7, 2025. Microsoft support for Office 2019 ended on October 14, 2025.
What the $20 Office offer included
New Atlas reported that its promotion covered Office Professional Plus 2019 for a Windows PC, with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher and Access. The report listed a $19.97 promotional price, an MSRP of $229 and a December 7, 2025 deadline. These are details of the sponsored report, not confirmation of a current offer or a price from Microsoft. Read the New Atlas deal report.
Is the deal still available?
The reported deadline has passed, and the cited sources do not establish whether the seller still offers the software, at what price, or under what terms. They also do not verify the seller’s authorization or the license’s transfer rights. Treat any present-day listing as a separate offer and check its seller, exact license terms, device restrictions and refund policy before paying.
What “lifetime” does—and does not—mean
The promotion used lifetime-license language. That wording should not be confused with ongoing support from Microsoft: it does not establish what support, security fixes or service compatibility you will receive. The available sources do not establish the legal duration of an individual license, so check the specific seller’s terms rather than assuming what “lifetime” covers.
Office 2019 is no longer supported
Microsoft Support says, “Support for Office 2016 and Office 2019 ended on October 14, 2025.” Microsoft warns that support, bug fixes and security fixes may no longer be provided for vulnerabilities reported or discovered after support ends. Microsoft’s Office 2019 lifecycle page covers the product, including Professional Plus.
Microsoft also says Office 2019 connections to services including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online have not been supported since October 2023. That is a service-compatibility limitation distinct from whether the desktop applications can still be installed or opened. See Microsoft’s guidance on connections to Microsoft 365 services.

How to judge a listing before you buy
- Confirm what you are buying. Check that the listing identifies Office Professional Plus 2019 for Windows and states which apps and devices are covered.
- Read the license terms. Look for device limits, transfer rights, activation requirements, refund conditions and any limits on future reinstallations.
- Consider the support trade-off. Office 2019 has passed its end-of-support date, so weigh the one-time price against the loss of Microsoft support and the stated service-connection limits.
- Verify the offer directly. The 2025 deal report does not confirm current inventory, current pricing or seller authorization; do not treat its old price as a live quote.
