The changes were described as starting at a renewal on or after April 1, 2026. They were not reported as applying to every customer or every plan; check your account for your current price and next renewal.
What Public Mobile price increases were reported?
On March 2, 2026, MobileSyrup reported that some customers had received notices of monthly increases ranging from $2 to $4 (MobileSyrup). Customer notices reproduced in Public Mobile’s community forum gave two examples:

The $20-to-$24 wording was reproduced by a customer who attributed it to Public Mobile: “Starting April 1, 2026, your monthly plan will increase by $4 per month, from $20 to $24 at the next renewal.” It is a customer-posted notice, not a current official policy page or a statement from a named company spokesperson.
Did the increase apply to every customer or every plan?
No. The reports described selected plans, not a universal change. Community posts cited $20 3 GB and $23 6 GB plans as examples, while noting that other plans at the same price point might not be affected (Public Mobile Community discussion). Price alone does not establish whether an account was included, and the reports do not provide a complete official list of affected subscribers.

How to check your current price and renewal
Because April 1, 2026 has passed, the reported date is historical. Sign in to your Public Mobile account and review the plan and renewal information shown for your line. Use the price and renewal date displayed for your account rather than assuming the examples in earlier reports apply to you.
- If your account shows the same recurring price, the reported examples do not establish a change for your plan.
- If it shows a different price or a notice, check the amount and when it takes effect against your next renewal details.
- If the account information is unclear, contact Public Mobile through its available support channels before changing plans.
Were higher-data alternatives available?
The reproduced notice for the $20 plan described a $24 option with 8 GB. Community posts also mentioned a $25 plan with 10 GB. A customer said these options appeared again in the app on April 2, 2026, after another account holder reported losing access to them (Public Mobile Community discussion; customer availability report). Those are historical account-specific reports; they do not establish what offers are available now.

If your account presents alternatives, compare the recurring price, data allowance, service features and whether the offer is available to an existing customer. Do not assume an option mentioned in a past notice can still be selected.
