The intake’s exam and later selection milestones have also passed, so the old “registration ends today” notice is not a current application opportunity.
When did registration close?
The Indian Air Force notification set the online registration window from 11:00 on 8 July 2024 to 23:00 on 28 July 2024. It said only online-registered applications would be accepted and that the deadline would not be extended. Read the official Intake 02/2025 notification.
What did the “direct link” point to?
The notice directed applicants to agnipathvayu.cdac.in for online applications and detailed instructions. That reference was for the 2024 application period; the notice does not establish that the portal currently accepts applications for Intake 02/2025. Do not treat the old link as evidence that this intake is open.
Which dates in the notice have passed?
- Online examination: scheduled to begin 18 October 2024 onwards.
- Provisional select list: scheduled for 14 May 2025.
- Enrolment list: scheduled for 30 May 2025.
The notification gave those dates for this intake; each is now in the past. The official notice contains the schedule.

Who was eligible for Intake 02/2025?
Age
The notice allowed candidates born from 3 July 2004 through 3 January 2008, inclusive. It set the upper age limit at enrolment at 21.
Education
There were separate science and non-science routes. The science route included 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English, as well as specified engineering diploma and vocational qualifications; the listed routes generally required 50% aggregate marks and the applicable English requirement. The non-science route included 10+2 or equivalent in any stream, with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English. The exact board, subject and qualification conditions are in the full notification. These age and education terms applied to Intake 02/2025 and should not be assumed to apply to a later intake.

What did the selection process and service terms say?
The selection process described in the notice included an online test, physical fitness and adaptability testing, and a medical examination. It also stated that the exam was not for selection as commissioned officers, pilots, navigators or airmen. The notice described a four-year engagement. It allowed for up to 25% of each specific batch to be considered for enrolment in the regular cadre, subject to criteria and organisational requirements, and expressly provided no right to further enrolment. - Look for a newer Agniveervayu notification from the Indian Air Force rather than relying on the Intake 02/2025 dates.
- Use the registration dates, eligibility criteria and selection schedule in that cycle’s own official notice.
- Follow the application portal and instructions specified in the newer notice; the past portal reference alone does not confirm that applications are open.
The contemporaneous Scroll report published on 28 July 2024 also reported the closing date and portal. The Indian Air Force notice states that selection is “FAIR & TRANSPARENT” and on merit only.
