Frozen Coke K-Wave was a limited-time Coca-Cola drink offered at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Australia in 2024. Its launch began on 24 April, but the available official announcements do not confirm whether any restaurants still serve it today. The frozen drink was also different from the separately sold Coca-Cola K-Wave Zero Sugar cans.
What was Frozen Coke K-Wave?
Frozen Coke K-Wave was the McDonald’s Australia version of Coca-Cola’s K-Wave Creations campaign: a frozen restaurant beverage inspired by K-pop. McDonald’s announced it on 23 April 2024 and said it would be available from 24 April at participating restaurants nationwide and through the MyMacca’s app, for a limited time. In Australia, McDonald’s is commonly known as Macca’s. McDonald’s Australia’s launch announcement described the offer as limited-time.
Is it still available?
There is no confirmed current availability in the official information cited here. The launch was explicitly limited-time, and the official McDonald’s Australia result located for availability points to the 2024 announcement rather than a current offer. Check the MyMacca’s app or ask a local restaurant if you want to know whether it has returned or remains on a particular menu; the 2024 launch announcement alone is not evidence that it is available now.
How was the frozen drink different from K-Wave Zero Sugar cans?
The campaign included two distinct products. Coca-Cola Australia said the packaged K-Wave Zero Sugar flavor went on sale in 250 ml cans through Australian grocery and convenience stores from 22 April 2024, while the frozen version was exclusive to McDonald’s restaurants. Coca-Cola Australia’s announcement distinguishes those formats and channels.

The U.S. Coca-Cola product listing reports 0 calories, 0 g total sugars and 34 mg caffeine per 12 fl oz for the packaged K-Wave Zero Sugar product. Those figures are specific to that U.S. canned product and serving size; they are not nutrition facts for the Australian frozen restaurant drink.
What does K-Wave taste like?
Coca-Cola described K-Wave as classic Coca-Cola taste with a burst of fruit flavor. That is the company’s description, not an independent tasting assessment, and it does not establish the exact flavor or ingredients of the Australian frozen preparation. The U.S. packaged Zero Sugar listing gives ingredients for that can, including carbonated water, caramel color, natural flavors, phosphoric acid, sweeteners and caffeine, and notes that it contains phenylalanine. Do not assume those packaged-product details apply to the restaurant drink. The U.S. product listing is for the packaged Zero Sugar version.

How did the campaign connect to K-pop?
The campaign featured Stray Kids, ITZY and NMIXX, as well as J.Y. Park, founder of JYP Entertainment. McDonald’s Australia said the groups collaborated on the “Like Magic” anthem, produced by Jin Young Park (J.Y. Park). Coca-Cola also promoted a fan music-video experience that let fans add their voice, name and face to a video and download or share their creation. These were campaign features; they do not change the distinction between the restaurant frozen drink and the packaged cans. Coca-Cola’s global announcement describes the campaign.
