- Contract and audit: Confirm the official contract address through trustworthy project channels, then check whether any audit report identifies that same contract and explains its scope. Beware of impersonators using a different address.
- Supply and tax: Compare project-stated tokenomics with on-chain contract behavior where you can do so reliably. A published description alone does not prove that the contract implements those rules.
- Live utility and terms: Verify that advertised products are accessible and understand any token requirements, restrictions, or operating conditions.
- Liquidity and custody: Check whether and where tokens can be traded, and confirm network and wallet support before transferring funds. The SEC explains that crypto wallets are devices or programs that hold private keys used to access crypto assets; do not assume a particular wallet supports FPPE without confirmation.
