That page covers bank providers supported by Pay by Bank by Bank of America—not every Bank of America service—so it does not confirm whether Online Banking, the mobile app, cards, ATMs, or branches are working for everyone. A bank-wide outage is not confirmed by the available status information.
Is Bank of America down right now?
The Pay by Bank status page displayed “All Systems Operational” on October 7, 2026, with no incident reported for that date. Its stated scope is the bank providers supported by Pay by Bank by Bank of America. It is not a comprehensive status dashboard for Bank of America’s consumer Online Banking website, mobile app, debit or credit card authorizations, ATMs, or branches.
That means the status result cannot establish that every Bank of America channel is available, nor can it rule out a problem affecting some customers. No broader official status dashboard or contemporaneous independent outage count was available to confirm a bank-wide outage. For the latest information, check Bank of America’s official website or app, or contact the bank through an official channel.
What to do if you can’t sign in
- Check the credentials being entered. Type your user ID and password manually and make sure your browser or password manager is not filling in an outdated saved password. Bank of America’s login troubleshooting guidance recommends removing stored credentials that are no longer valid.
- Use the official recovery flow if needed. If you cannot confirm or remember your sign-in details, use the Forgot ID/Password option on Bank of America’s official sign-in page. The bank’s Online Banking support page also provides recovery information.
- Compare another device or network. Try signing in from a different device or connection if available. If the problem occurs only on one setup, that is a clue it may be local to that device or network; if it follows you, that still does not prove the bank is experiencing an outage. This is a basic diagnostic check, not an official outage test.
- Contact Online Banking support if the issue persists. Bank of America lists 800.432.1000 for Online Banking support. Use the bank’s official site or app, or the phone number on your bank card, to find help. Avoid numbers posted in unsolicited messages or unverified search results.
What a login or balance display problem does—and doesn’t—tell you
An error message or inability to sign in does not, by itself, show that money is missing or that a payment failed. A login issue only establishes that you could not access the account at that moment. If you need to verify a transaction or account activity, use official Bank of America channels when available or contact the bank using a verified number.

How to monitor account activity while access is limited
Bank of America offers account alerts for balances, deposits, card charges, and unusual activity, with delivery options including mobile notifications, SMS, and email. See its account alerts information for available alert types. Alerts can help you monitor activity, but they are not a substitute for live account access or an official service-status update. The bank’s Online Banking Service Agreement describes alert provisions; it was effective August 27, 2026, with an update scheduled for October 19, 2026.
